Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIf you're looking for a authentic rural Rajasthani experience then Mala Ki Dhani is for you. Whether it's sitting down together for a home cooked meal, receiving a henna artwork, sleeping outside under the moonlight, petting the family goats, riding camels, or visiting the nearby village, Om and his family will welcome you with curiosity and open arms - we were even lucky enough to witness the start of a Rajasthani rural wedding in Om's birthplace.

United KingdomStaying at Mala Ki Dhani was a life-affirming experience for me. In just 3 days, I experienced so much kindness from Om ji, his family, and the other guests. On day 1, Om picked me up from the airport in his Jeep and drove me to his house in the desert north of Jaisalmer. Here we ate tasty food freshly prepared by his wife. Om organised a desert safari for us in a peaceful area of the dunes, where we ate food around the fire under thousands of stars. On day 2, we played cricket with Om’s children before heading to his family home in the village nearby. Here we were greeted by his parents and lots of local children who were keen to play games and show us around. Later that evening, everyone helped out cooking and ate together around the fire. I chose to sleep out under the stars on a cosy charpai. On day 3, we had a relaxing morning eating poha for breakfast before being dropped off back in Jaisalmer to see the fort and Havelis. Om bought me meetha pan to try, and we bid farewell. I’m so glad I chose to stay at Mala Ki Dhani. I experienced Jaisalmer and so much more! Hoping to return soon.

Mala Ki dhani was an unforgettable experience and a miniscule mirror of Bharat's grand old civilization. For someone from a bustling city looking for peace and quiet of the countryside, it is heaven. An authentic Rajasthani village abode nestled among sand stone hillocks, with a tiny temple on top, overlooking the scenery, as if to bless it, Mala ki Dhani and it's lovely people, food, sunshine and starry sky, have forever colored my existence.

ItalyTo me everything was perfect, as I was expecting! But of course you need to adapt to the situation, there Is no electricity or running water... But it's part of the experience!
Om and his family are so welcoming and the location is amazing. Om took me to see the village near by and meet some locals there, while his children, so sweet and curious to meet me, came on a walk with me exploring the area, and we reached the temple on top of the hill nearby. The food cooked by his wife is simple and delicious. I wish I could have stayed more!!

It was a privilege to learn about rural life and experience it first hand. We will miss the family a lot and will definitely stay in touch, especially about cricket!

BelgiumAn amazing offbeat experience. Nice and quiet area where you can chill around a bonfire, sleep under the stars and watch a lovely sunset. Our host, Om, is one of the best hosts one could ask for. He took care of us on all aspects from transport to creating a nice itinerary for us on things to visit and preparing delicious meals cooked to us by his wife. He also introduced us to his extended family at a party in a village nearby, they were all very welcoming and friendly to us. We are very thankful for this experience and we highly recommend it to anyone who's willing to try something new and unique.

United KingdomNothing to say here, all good.
Stayed with a friend of mine for one night whilst in Jaisalmer. So glad we found this place and would highly recommend anyone to visit for a night or two. From the get go Om was super helpful, contacted us to organise getting to the property and answered all questions we had. On arrival to the location we were pleasantly surprised with how peaceful and clean it was. The mud huts were great to sleep in, I felt very connected to nature and we both sleep incredibly well. Basic as expected but with all the necessities and a very unique experience. The food was fantastic. Oms wife cooked fresh vegetables, daal, rice and roti for our evening meal. I was very grateful to eat home cooked tasty food. It was a nice break from all the heavy curries we’d been eating in the run up! Whilst visiting we also received henna tattoos and were taken to the local village where we shared chai with the locals. Om also offered a safari tour which we were not able to do.

The host is a friendly and warm hearted man called Om, he was proactive and made sure our needs were met. The location was a wonderful change from the bustle of the city, we enjoyed the cosy and natural accommodation, campfires, and delicious home cooking! For animal lovers, there were also cute goats and puppies. Many thanks to Om and family for creating such a rememberable getaway!

We were able to admire the stars near a fire, eating a delicious food, cooked by Om's wife. Chatting with the other guests was fun too. I highly recommend to spend a few nights there. We loved everything here! We’ve been travelling India for 2 weeks now staying in lots of both hotels, hostels and homestays, but this is by far the favorite place we’ve stayed so far! Om and his family were amazing, and really made us feel at home here. He is a great host and conversation partner and will help you with anything. His wonderful wife cooked us delicious food, and even did henna on me for free. The property itself is so charming, and feels really peaceful away from the hustle of the city. The nightsky and bonfire here in the evening is something you have to experience. I would love to come back to stay longer some time!

An unusual place on the map of India. You must come there for at least 1 night (and if you have time, longer) if you are looking for peace away from the hustle and bustle of Jaisalmer, a friendly atmosphere created by the hosts, a sky full of stars, delicious and healthy food, MALA KI DHANI is the place for you. Additionally, the host is very willing to talk about life in India. The history of this place is amazing. If we ever come back to Jaisalmer, we will definitely come back to Om and his family.

Attentiveness of Om Bhati bro is exceptional. He helped us to plan places to visit according to our schedule.
