The only drawback was that the floor in the room always felt a little damp and never completely dry, which was slightly uncomfortable.

The stay was very pleasant, and the staff were extremely co-operative and caring, especially when they helped us without hesitation after our daughter was unwell. The food was good, and we enjoyed the private beach in the evening. The location was also convenient for visiting Bekal Fort, which added to the experience.

The hotel has not got an alcohol licence. Communication, whether through booking.com or by direct email, was completely ignored by this company. Beware, their cancellation or moving charges are non refundable. We ended up having to make the trip in the monsoon, which came early, and my husband not being well, or lose all our money. Moving the booking was not an option for us.

This was our second visit to this resort. Location was right in the beach, and the view from the room was excellent. The staff were efficient and friendly. The restaurant staff were excellent, but the menu was quite limited, however, Captain did say he could offer many more dishes that were not on the menu.

Had requested front desk to arrange transportation, several hours before checkout. The taxi came much later (30+ minutes later) & they kept saying anytime now. Just one sore point. Pricing at time of booking appeared misleading, in my opinion - this has nothing to do with Hotel process - this is my observation with booking.com. Hence lower score on value.

All good. Comfortable room, short walk from private beach. Nice greenery in surroundings with a balcony overlooking beach. (Side note: observed that the beach facing private balcony was very important for me - so called garden facing rooms would not have given me that). Also happened to be low-occupancy week days. Good food for my preference - local Indian vegetarian.

It’s aging. Needs pest control, specially in bathrooms. The furniture are loosing plys. The buffet was good, however the restaurant menu for lunch was limited, not up to the mark, Cook needs to review their skills. The layout of the tripe room is odd and not comfortable. Gym is not functional at all, the garden was over grown by weeds.

The hotel is directly at the beach. The beach is beautiful! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was always good. There were some minor issues in my room, so I changed the rooms without problems.

Okay, so the hotel is great. Lovely big rooms and pleasant grounds next to a beautiful beach. However, be aware that this is a DRY hotel, no alcohol served anywhere. If you ask the reception, they will deliver bottles of beer to your room but that is where you must drink it. Do not think that they planned to get an alcohol licence but had just been taken over so who knows. Also, the beach was fab but the beachbeds and also the ones by pool were old, shabby and generally of poor standard. Again, they are on the list for an upgrade. Pool itself is fine though. Clean and surrounded by lush palms and greenery. During our visit (Nov 23) there was also no cafe or outside area to sit and mingle with other guests, or just read a book. Other than your room or on above mentioned beach beds which are not conducive to relaxing and chilling. However, they were in the process of building a new restaurant/cafe on the beach so that facility may now exist.

Fabulous staff. Big shout out to Astin, Anil, Rahul, Mega and Nilufar. Hopefully I spelt those names correctly. Restaurant staff absolutely amazing. Even got personal service from the Chef on a couple of nights when it was quiet. Beach beautiful. Pure white sand that went on for miles (approx 9 km to be exact) sprinkled with seashells. Looked exactly like the paradise brochures of your dreams. For India, very little litter also. BUT, whilst we were there you could not swim in the sea as it was too rough with a strong undercurrent; paddling only permitted. Very peaceful. If you want a quiet, relaxing, nothing to do holiday with great food then this will probably suit you perfectly. We had 10 days which was probably too long but was made to feel very special by the staff. Could not fault them at all

I traveled with my one year old. Could not manage to get her some of her usual foods(very basic Kerala dosa) as the kitchen seemed understaffed or they did not have it when asked.

we loved the position right on the beach. the room was large, really comfy bed and lovely outdoor bathroom and verandah to sit on. fantastic beach, pool and spa - the spa manageress was excellent and so friendly. all staff friendly.

Rate of rooms. hildren's play area need more maintenance. The property has a big area and needs more entertainment and activities according to price. Morning complimentary breakfast needs more items.

The staff is the best, Megha, Bindu and damodharan are some names to remember.
