Location is great. Staff go out of the way to provide excellent service. Priya at the front office and service staff like Pinto , Amar and Sukanta go out of the at to serve you. Buffet breakfast was good.

Cons: 1) The hotel is a three star hotel but Booking.Com claims that it is 5-star, that is incorrect information right away 2) The hotel is surely overpriced for being a three star hotel 3) Facilities are quite average, hardly anything to do for my 5 year old kid

Pros: 1) The resort location is outstanding 2) There is a private beach, 10 mins walk away from your room 3) The food (buffet spread for lunch and dinner) was great, mutton was particularly very good 4) The service from every staff at the hotel and restaurant was near perfect, can't thank enough everyone at the hotel 5) There are cabs and ricks always standing below the hotel, so taking rides anywhere around the state is very easy

However, there were a few aspects of my stay that were less than ideal. One of the disappointments was the delayed pool access in the morning. Unfortunately, the cleaning process took longer than expected, and as a result, guests were unable to use the pool during the morning hours. It would have been more convenient if the cleaning could have been completed on time, allowing guests to enjoy the pool early in the day.  I had lunch at the hotel's Samudra restaurant, and I have to say that the service was disappointingly slow. One aspect that stood out during my stay was the expensive food prices. While I understand that pricing can vary from one establishment to another, I found the cost of the food at Mayfair Waves Puri to be quite high. 

One of the standout features of the hotel is its fantastic location, as it is situated right on the beach. Having direct access to the beach made my stay even more enjoyable, and I truly appreciated the beautiful views and the convenience of being so close to the water.

Room didnt have a great view. We were expecting sea view but didnt get it. Got it changed and got partial sea view only. Roof outside balcony had lot of pigeon poo. Breakfast was chaos and wasnt well organised at all. Had to keep on looking for waiters for them as they were not enough of them with too many customers.

They were doing a lot of construction in public spaces throughout most of the public areas. The price was quite high for the stay and not reflective of this situation. My booking included breakfast but it did not come through and there was a lot of difficulty navigating that, though they eventually came through. But it was stressful. They did my laundry and charged quite a lot but DID NOT WASH it, they simply IRONED IN the spots and stains when I was very clear it needed washing to have clean clothes for the next leg of my journey. Not only was this an expensive mistake but I was without clean clothes until I took it to someone else who washed them. Basically a lot of common stresses while traveling in India but at the level of hotel this is and the cost of it, it was not up to that standard in some ways. The room was beautiful, the beach and pool were beautiful though and people were nice. And it's Puri! So all of that is good.
