Everything , the room owner was so kind and nice he provided with information always received call , asked for the dinner and also served us so nicely , the room is maintained so good.

A little bit far off from the centre,not easily walkable on foot but taxi service is readily available.

Excellent homestay...the place is a little bit far off from mall road and darjeeling station but the views and hospitality of the host( Rajen Chettri) makes up for it. Got a clear view of Kanchenjunga from the window itself. The food, the hospitality everything is top notch. If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and prefer staying in a quiet peaceful atmosphere with amazing views, your search ends here.

This place was very good, all the views were good in the room and it was comfortable to live in and Rajen Chettri ji is a very nice person, if anyone wants to go to a homestay then go to Mountain View Homestay once and experience it.

Heavy traffic especially in peak hours which lead to hours of waiting to see places,unpredictable climate.

This was my first trip with my friend in Darjeeling. Being two women we were desperately looking for a place where safety, security and comfort will not be compromised. This place not only met our expectations but the owners Mr. and Mrs. Chettri made us feel at home with all their care. I am bound to share a little extra information here by saying that I fell ill for a day during my stay and Mr. Chettri made sure that I had proper food and medication. The location, facilities and amenities are all 10/10. They go beyond their capabilities to ensure comfortable stay for their guests. I have made up my mind to pay them a visit once again whenever I am back in Darjeeling for a trip.

Location can be a little tough for family with small kids. Otherwise it was all good.

It was a cozy homestay run by Rajen and his family. Though the location is a little off, his service made up for all the deficiencies. Exceptional host. Clean and hygienic. Food was tasty and home cooked so no need to think twice. Dining space was highlight.

Location is bit interior in narrow lanes and roads are confusing but Mr. Rajan personally escort everyone to the home and also guide. He will also arrange taxi if needed. Mall road is just 1.6 km. From outside it doesn't look good but once you are inside you will love the place.

Everything was excellent specially the service from Mr. Rajan who ensured everything is at the disposal just a phone call away. He was very nice and proactive. He also arranged barbeque for us at terrace with music which my kids liked a lot. Room was good with good mountain view.

Clean room with great view Superb host: Helped us in every way possible, from late night commute to low cost trip planning it was a great experience with Rajen da. Must try: The barbecue night with music on rooftop was the best surprise for us. The chicken was so tender and delicious, best barbecue chicken we ever had. Also the hygiene was top notch.

Only problem is the stairs. Fortunately, my mom is healthy enough to climb stairs. But for people with knee pains cannot climb the stairs.

Homemade food, hot and fresh. I travelled with my Mom. Rajen managed to arrange all special requests for my mom and son. We are from South India and we daily had curd. The homestay has a wonderful mountains view. The dining area on the terrace is excellent. Room is spacious enough for family of four. Rajen is kind and responsive for all needs. The location is slightly away from chowk but we get frequent taxis to reach chowk market.

Owner is very cooperative and adjustable in all regards. Food provided as per demand at a very responsible price. Quality of food is very very good . We stayed from 3rd April 25 to 6th April 25 and enjoyed a lot. Recommended for staying in this homestay.

Our host Mr Rajen was very hospitable and welcoming. The homestay is pretty new and the rooms were neat. The view was also great. Though it's a bit difficult to reach there but if you coordinate with Rajen he will guide you/driver well.

I am not saying anything about property but they cancelled my booking by saying I didnt pickup call for confirmation which was a total lie cause I didn't get any call from there side

However, I cannot recommend this homestay for the simple reason that you will not sleep. The homestay is located on the hairpin curve of a rather busy road meaning every truck or even large car, has to make a three point turn to navigate this corner. And you will hear every rev of the engine, every squeal of the brakes, every spin of the tires, every honk of the horn, even men arguing about how to properly navigate the turn. Chaos 10 feet below your window-all night. Add that to the dogs who love to randomly bark through the night, the lovely (but lively and loud until well past midnight) family downstairs, etc. Let’s just say, forget that 3 am departure if you were hoping to hike up Tiger Hill! It’s not going to happen. I do believe this guesthouse, especially the room facing the street, is made out of paper. I’ve never slept (or tried to) in a louder room. If you book the Mountain View room, like we did, ensure you get it (we did not), then, perhaps, you may get some rest but I seriously doubt it. I think the family may have forgotten it had guests at all though we understand it was a daughter’s birthday. Add this to the fact that this place is not at all easy to get to (the address listed or Google maps is oh-so wrong) and there are literally hundreds of other places you could stay and likely rest better. This guesthouse is a hard pass as those trucks and dogs will haunt you all night.

I’m sorry to write this review because the owner and his family seem to be lovely people.
