The location is a little inside and you have to walk a lot to find transportation. The staff is helpful and accomodating.

The food was not that great at the property. It had too much salt too much chilli and too much oil. Would recommend ordering from outside and bringing the food here or ordering food via zomato.

I missed the hostel vibe. It feels more like a guesthouse and there are not many . Although there is a good wifi connection, sometimes light might go out and my data didn't work well. I stayed there a couple of mornings working and I was shocked to discover that the linen for beds is not cleaned or changed in between guests, they just make the bed with the same used ones. The duvet doesn't have a linen too. Not sure if it happens the same on private dorms.

The family running the property is very kind and they clean the house daily. They would let me use the kitchen to store some food and boil some water. The bathrooms are clean, the room is spacious and the beds are comfortable. The location is a bit far away from the lake walking (20 minutes) but the Chalo Bus stop is 5 minutes away. Area is calm and it felt safe during the day. There is a fruit shop near by. Breakfast was good but i would suggest picking it directly there.

Food is soooooooo delicious. But there is a misunderstanding about the food. I asked for one, they brought two in one bowl, so I thought it was as one, but in the end they calculated it as 2 dishes. Make sure and please communicate enough for something before something like my experience is happens to you.😊

- This is in a purely residential area mainly accessible by Taxi or own vehicle (We were OK as we hired day long taxi and had dinners at the Moustache itself.)

We loved the rooms, very clean and cozy. The owner Altaf was very helpful in taking care of any requests we had, whether it was regarding transport or food. Wonderful home cooked Kashmir food available for a nominal price. (We had Breakfasts and dinners). I initially thought this was a hostel and was a little sceptical but it is actually a hotel with 9 rooms. 8 individual rooms with attached bathrooms and 1 room is a hostel with 6 beds and common bathroom. The presidential suite (1 of the 9 rooms) is really awesome (Though it was not available for us but we could get some glimpses). Each room is tastefully designed and feels very homely and had free Wi-FI too. Definitely would recommend!

Location is far and it’s a house where you stay on the first floor

Pictures are very different from what the actual place is, it’s basically a home stay. The towels are not what you would see in a typical hotel and there is no useful toiletries. Rooms are not the cleanest but livable.

I am a sucker for amenities, and i think a few more can be better provided for people in the dorm. The private stays are absolutely beautiful.

It came as a surprise to me that this property is run by a local Kashmiri family, and might I say, it was a very lovely surprise. The energy here is homely, comfortable, and rather light. Location wise it is a little tucked in, but that made it perfect for a quiet stay, while being super close to Dal & other prominent locations around.

The location is far from everything and gets dark and scary after sunset. You won't feel safe going out after dark. The view from the room is extremely underwhelming, the window faces a wall. The room description mentions heating included, but we were charged INR 600 for 2 hours of heating. They didn't turn on the heater before 7PM even though we agreed to pay extra. The staff was unwelcoming, when we tried to reach out to the owner over WhatsApp, he stopped responding.

We stayed here for 7 nights and it was just very nice experience. The family and staff are very helpful. The location is perfect for travel. Adil fed us amazing food very day, and he took care for our every need. Amazing person, thanks Adil! Irfan was our driver for 8 days, arranged by the owner. Again very nice guy, took us to unpopular places as-well. Please hire Irfan for your travel.
