Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIf you travel to Jaisalmer you must stay here! The rooms are stunning, as are the views, and they hold a lot of history (700 years old). The AC and fans in the rooms kept it cool in 40°c + heat, and the room had a little window perch, meaning you could relax when the desert sun was too hot. It will feel like a home away from home with Lala's incredible hospitality, kidness and generosity. We were even invited to a meal with his beautiful family, the highlight of our trip so far. They helped us organise safaris and TukTuk journeys and gave us tips for what to do in the city. The breakfast overlooking the Jain temple was also amazing!

Spain-
Charming hotel with beautiful views and a great location inside the fort — just 2 minutes from the Chandraprabhu Jain Temple and 3 minutes from the Jaisalmer Palace Museum. The room and common areas were clean and tidy, and the bed and linens were excellent. The place has a warm, family-like atmosphere where I felt safe and well cared for. Having breakfast on the rooftop was a lovely experience — despite the extreme heat in May, the mornings were still fresh and pleasant. Card payment is accepted, which is very convenient. Ramesh was incredibly kind and always available to help, and Lala (the owner) and his family truly made me feel like part of theirs. Such a wonderful stay in Jaisalmer — I’m truly grateful for the entire experience.

FranceLoved our stay at Mud Mirror! The hotel is perfectly located in the fort so you can do most of the main activities by foot. The room was really spacious, super clean and the bathroom even had a window (rare enough to mention in India). But the best part of this hotel is definitely the owner and all of the staff - lovely, lovely people. Would definitely stay there again!

IndiaWe reached at 11:30 pm at night, but they not only sent a tuk-tuk to pick us up, but also stayed up to welcome us. The view from the rooms and the rooftop restaurant is breathtaking. The rooms are cozy and spacious. But the location, views and most importantly the behaviour of the staff tops it all. They are so nice and helpful that you would want to come back again. They guided us for sightseeing and also helped arrange the desert safari with trip to the Tanot Mata temple and Loungewala. They not just serve you on the trip but specifically the owner knows how to strike good conversations and keep people happy. This place and the staff’s hospitality is worth experiencing at least once.

United KingdomThis is such a great guesthouse. The owner was incredibly accommodating, helping us organise a wonderful trip into the desert and helping us when we arrived very very early in Jaisalmer. The food in the restaurant is so yummy and up on a rooftop with views of the city. The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious. This was our best stay in Rajasthan and we have been here for over a month.

Lala the owner makes you feel like family and makes sure you have everything you need and also very knowledgeable guide. The decor inside all the royal rooms is so beautiful , and almost all rooms have rooms of city some with Jain temple , so I loved sitting on my patio window and writing. NetherlandsA few things to keep in mind—some things are just part of the experience. The city noise didn’t bother us, but lighter sleepers might want to bring earplugs just in case. It was wedding season (though, honestly, Jaisalmer is far quieter than other Indian cities). The plumbing is old, but that’s a small trade-off for the privilege of staying inside an 860-year-old fort with mud walls—so cool!
Staying inside Jaisalmer Fort is an unforgettable experience, and this place made it even better. The location is unbeatable—you’re right in the heart of history, surrounded by the fort’s ancient charm. We stayed for three nights in the King Room, and it was absolutely amazing! The room was comfortable and full of character, with traditional touches that made the stay feel authentic. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and it was amazing to wake up inside a living fort with stunning views just outside the door. The room offered a breathtaking grand view over the city, and the small windows overlooking the temple felt like a painting come to life. Despite our very late arrival, Lala welcomed us at the fort entrance and guided us to our room. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and Lala proved to be an exceptional host—super friendly and accommodating. The two boys working there were incredibly sweet and helpful, adding to the warm hospitality. Lala also organized a memorable sunset safari with Golden Dunes Camp. Ali Bhai made the camel ride very enjoyable and our driver/cook provided an absolutely delightful evening in the beautiful setting of the Thar Desert. All these thoughtful touches made Jaisalmer one of my favorite stops on my trip in India.

SingaporeNothing much. Everything is alright. Waiting for the hot water to run takes a bit of patience and 1.5 buckets of water. 😂 Don't bother with the aircon. It's not workable, but that's fine as winter is chilly and there's a ceiling fan.
I love my stay here in the Fort! Didn't expect such hospitality! We were welcomed with complimentary chai masala and our room was cosy. The best part is undoubtedly the ease of access to the sunrise in the morning. No need to get out to the rooftop. The endless horizon is there for you and you just need to flip open the curtains. It is also next to the cluster of Jain temples. You could spy on the religious men and tourists from their rooftop. Their vegetarian menu is recommendable as well if you are tired of walking and wants a meal. There's no ride hailing app in Jaisalmer, so etiher haggle with the tuk-tuk driver from the airport or inform the accoms about your intention a day before. It costs around 500 rupees from the airport to the foot of the fort.
