Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

As above.
Fairly modern accommodation. Reasonable pricing. Flexible owner. The access road appears a bit depressing but the location is central and the building is well maintained. The staff could be a bit more customer friendly and professional. Bathroom and general cleanliness can certainly improve. No toiletries provided. Perhaps the owners can pay closer attention.

Chargeable washing machine. Cooking gas charges appeared on the higher side. Resultantly we didn't use the cooking gas. Electric cattle for hot water and toiletries weren't found.

The bucket in the bathroom was broken which I was not informed about. However it was changed promptly with a new one. Same with the soap.
Very neat and clean place. Caretaker Gita didi is very sweet and helps in any way possible. I would recommend installing more electric plug points for charging electronic devices.

1) Sharing bathroom is a big turn off and needs to be mentioned clearly before taking booking. 2) Locality is not easy to live in as it comprises of urban slums and the local dwellers try to bully on petty matters (in our case, our pet was not allowed to poop freely even though there were strays around and we were using poop scooper to clean up). Unruly behaviour from youngsters.
1) Both the support staff Gita and Rajeev were very co-operative. Time of closing gates is 10pm but they ensured we had smooth exit and entry post the same too as needed. 2) Big spacious home, actually had a very homely feel. 3) Basic but good breakfast served every morning by Gita. 4) Close proximity to South City Mall, Gariahat and all major highlights of Kolkata with superb connectivity via all modes. 5) Visit the serene Dhakuria Lake nearby for a soothing experience. 6) Close to Kalighat temple. 7) Zomato,Swiggy, Blinkit etc, all app based providers are easily accessible. 8) Aminia,Arsalan, Ganguram and other major food houses in the vicinity for that gastronomic treat.

The bathroom is actually shared and train horn noise is audible at night.
Great location close to endless amounts of chai and street stalls. Nice breakfast and lovely owner.

Area is not great; lot of noises and activities outside at even late at night. Amenities are shared. toilet is also shared for some rooms.
Location is good. Conveyance available 24/7. Caretaker is good and really takes care. all mentioned facilities are there.

A bit inside from the main road .It is just behind AMRI hospital.Roads are narrow so if you are in a car and if there is another car in front of you , there is no space to move the car .
Feels like you are staying in your own home ,very nice ambience, doesn't even feel like you are staying in a guesthouse.The caretaker Gita Di is very generous and courteous, since the room was not ready when we reached there ,she provided us the room which generally is for the owner that is Mr alokesh banerjee.Very neat and clean flat with large space.Open kitchen makes you feel like if you are staying in your relatives or friends house .Must stay if you are looking for homely atmosphere.

Only the behaviour of the gate-keeper was too bad.
Everything was good and the lady Gita di was so helpful and humble. I love the calm ambiance and also the location. I stayed for my personal work everything was accessible. Overall its a good Homestay for single and family people.

The lift is not always working properly. It needs to be repaired/maintained properly.
It is good property, cool peaceful place. Gita, the caretaker of the homestay looked after all the guests properly. She is very hardworking and soft-spoken lady. Overall,my staying was there very good and comfortable. I would like to visit this homestay again.
