Nivasa by Nautiyal’s is not just a stay — it’s an experience. Nestled in the serene foothills of Mussoorie, this charming family home offers more than just comfort; it offers connection. With only one room available, you don’t feel like a guest — you become part of the family. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind souls. We even shared evening tea with them, which made the experience all the more special. The room itself is spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully designed — I particularly loved the calming color theme. The attached bathroom is clean and roomy, and there’s a heater for chilly nights. The cute little kitchen comes fully equipped with crockery, a gas stove, induction, and even an oven — perfect if you like to cook a little on vacation. Outside, a lush garden invites you to slow down. On some days, you might not even want to leave. But when you do, you’ll find bars, cafés, and restaurants just a short walk away. Special shoutout to Adwait for his constant support and effort in making our stay smooth and memorable. It was such a heartfelt experience that we left a Tibetan blessing bell behind — a small gesture for a place that gave us so much peace. Already looking forward to coming back. — Highly recommend for anyone seeking a quiet, beautiful, and soul-nourishing escape.

Adwait and his family were very approachable, proactive with communication and kind. I had a comfortable stay in their house. Though the house is just a minute away from the main road, it’s still is very peaceful. There are many eateries right outside on the main road, the Dehradun zoo is just 5 minutes away from the property. We can hear many birds chirping as the property also oversees huge trees from the forest area. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated.

1. Good location - vibrant yet peaceful surroundings 2. Great hosts, extremely helpful and friendly 3. The property has a lot of open space to unwind. The gardens faces the Malsi forest reserve. We even spotted a couple of deers.

Overall, very lovely. Very kind and accommodating hosts. They very nicely let me bring my indoor cat with me and the cat actually really liked the place. The place was very clean. Comfortable bed. Huge tv. Geysers both in the shower and in the kitchenette. Lovely garden with a very friendly neighborhood dog. The area is pretty quiet but there are a number of nice places that are walkable from the house.

The moment I confirmed my booking, I immediately got a call from Advait asking to reconfirm. I told him that I was coming in early and wondered if he will be able to give an early check-in. His approach towards this problem was very positive and he said, he will check and get back, which he did positively. The room was pretty, clean and felt like home as soon as I stepped in. Its exactly as seen in the images. There is direct access to the terrace on top of the room and since it was raining, I enjoyed every bit of my stay. The location is also amazing, slightly away from the hustle of the city but at the start of the road that leads to Mussoorie. There is bike on rent available right next to the homestay and my favorite Haldiram's too. Loved every bit of my time spent with the family, very warm people! I am certainly coming again, this time with my family!

I found the bed to be very firm as someone who prefers soft to medium mattresses. I asked and was graciously provided a comforter to add extra cushion, which helped.

The Nautiyals are a fun loving, welcoming family who truly love what they do. Their place is large overlooking a beautiful garden, the room - spacious and squeaky clean. We loved talking to them and sharing experiences, it truly felt slow and relaxing spending time here. The location is on the Mussoorie road and can get distant for tourists but I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to relax in the lap of nature and spend some time walking, getting to know the family and exploring the local culture. The hosts also made me a Gajar ka halwa because I happened to share we don’t get red carrots in my city :) really appreciate their gestures.
