Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Very loud street noise, barely could sleep as the room was on first floor right on the local bazar street.
Good decent sized room, property is good, 1 to 1.5 kms walking from Golden temple.

- the kitchen was not really useful - the personals english can be improved - very loud next to the street, day and night - bathroom was a little dirty (walls) and the shower didnt work properly, no hot water after 10 minutes of waiting - at the evening somebody knocked very excessive at door on the groundfloor. It seems to be the coworker. He was yelling very loud.
+ Room has nice optic (single-room) + the common area has a nice optic too + the personal was friendly and helpful + 20 minutes to the golden temple + affordable + nice street food nearby + shop in the ground floor

I was messaged in advance of my stay to make payment otherwise the booking would not be confirmed despite the hostel being completely empty when I arrived. On arrival at the train station it was very difficult to get anyone to take me to the hostel as no one was familiar with the location and I found this happened on the other days too. Ihad a private room on the roadside which was very noisy and made it very difficult to sleep, the hostel was completely empty and I was the only person staying there for the whole duration of my 3 day stay, therefore at this time there was no hostel vibe and I didn’t meet any other travellers. There was a common room and a kitchen which I didn’t use. I didn’t like the location as it was in the middle of a wholesale market and I struggled to find any good restaurants close by. For some reason there was a dog inside the hallway outside my too barking all night on one night which again made it very difficult to sleep. I wasn’t provided with any information regarding tours or things to do in the area and there was never anyone at reception instead they were at their wholesale shop next door, so I had to find them there if I had any questions. Maybe at a busier time the experience would be better but this review is based on my current experience.
The private room was large and clean with fan and air conditioning as well as hot water. The owner (the father) and Govind a member of staff were friendly. The golden temple is around 20 minutes by walk. My train was at 6pm on the day of checkout and they kindly let me stay in the room until I needed to leave which was very kind of them.

Though I was booked for 2 nights, after the first night thir staff came a d asked me are you checking out, to which I said do you want me to? Since I have booking for 2 days. This is around 10:30 am Around 2:30 pm the owners son asked me the sMe. To which h I was a little put off. Also they accept only cash, they don't accept card payments. Surprising.

I was in a dorm and in my room and common area no windows. -The only way to have drinkable water is to buy plastic bottles, I suggested to the owner to buy the filtering machine to apply on the wall, he is not interested at all. So sad! -There aren't places to hang out wet clothes to dry them, so people staying in the hostel months have to leave the clothes hang out in the shower. Could be a good idea to buy a drying rack. -Most of the staff don't speak English.
The position in good and the hostel is more clean than the indian hostel average.

They switch on AC only at night and there is no fan in the dorm. How someone will survive.

Only drawback I felt, there should a fan, in the dorm for the convenience of the travellers.
It is nearly about 1km walking distance from the Golden Temple. From the Amritsar Railway Station, one can take an auto to reach the hostel & the auto driver will charge nearly about 100-150 bucks. I stayed there for 3 nights & good to see that each day, the rooms were getting cleaned. I even asked for an extra bed-sheet & I was provided with it. The hostel was easy on pocket & budget-friendly too. Last but not the least the caretaker was very co-operative & humble.

I was hassled repeatedly to pay again despite having paid using UPI prior to arrival as requested.

I book property because, I trust Booking .com. Matter should be examined by it nt d property owner or caretaker as the language used is very low graded. I was called fake😁How can I become fake for mere Rs 670/. Unless the process is complete, Booking. Com can nt be out of scene😁. Waiting for response.
This is about Blue eye bckpakrs, Amritsar. The guy after remitting Rs 670/ said nt received. On further query, I was told to cancel booking, and no sign abt money paid. Booking. Com should look into n revert bck to m, as the guy is nt responding
