Best location. Very quite and peaceful. The owner is very kind and always helpful.Rajkumar cooks a very authentic kerala food for veg and non-veg. That's the best option to have home made food.

Absolutely nothing!

Great location, right by the lake! Rooms are clean and spacious. Host was extremely gracious and helpful, provided us delicious home cooked meals. He even gave us mangoes from his own garden! Extremely wonderful stay. Would recommend 100%.

This place is beyond beautiful - you can view the sunrise from your room! We spotted lots of birds, including snake birds and kingfishers. The owner is very kind and helpful. The location is not well connected by public transport, but we had our own rental car, so it was alright- enough room for parking. One of the best places we stayed at during our Kerala trip- quiet, peaceful and lots of nature! Would definitely recommend. PS: there is a Kerala government tourism department about 20 min drive away- we chose the 'Village Experience' there- and that is a great way to go on a boat with a local and interact with the locals and their ways of life (they taught us coconut tree climbing, rope making, fishing and lots more!).

Our host mr Shan Nawas was very kind. He helped us with reservations of the boat trip and an Ayurveda massage. Rash served us excellent food and beverage. The area is beautiful.

Beautiful, peaceful setting by the lake. It was great laying in the hammock under the veranda watching the wildlife, or just reading my book. We saw kingfishers and a fruit bar that visited us daily. It's a bit far from Allepphy, but a tuktuk can be arranged to pick us up from the house. A tuktuk from Aleppey to Orchid View was 600 rupees.

I'm a vegetarian. The food is delicious. They serve the best veggie dishes. Many restaurants use a lot of oil when cooking. But this hotel is different. I go to many Indian restaurants in Japan, but this hotel is definitely the best.

A fair distance from Alleppey but was such a lovely location that we didn’t mind the tuk tuk into town (which owner helped us arrange whenever needed)

Amazing place. Incredible views of the lake and very peaceful. Delicious food made at homestay 3 x a day if you need, well priced. It’s a 600 rupee Tuk Tuk out of Alleppey but definitely worth it. Shafir went above and beyond to look after all our needs and made us feel very welcome. He helped organise a well priced boat trip of the backwaters. There’s not much nearby but you don’t need to leave because there’s lots of beautiful places in the garden to relax and food as you need. We extended our stay by a night because we liked it so much.

Safi, the manager, was exceptionally helpful and booked a houseboat trip for us including transport by tuk tuk. The location overlooking the lake is exceptional. The home cooked food was very good and they took care of dietary preferences.

Not a bad thing, but good to know: To go to Aleppy, it's only 20minutes by tuktuk or you can take the bus.

Very serene place, overlooking the water. I could watch the sunrise from my bedroom and see the fishermen start their day. Beautiful and peaceful, so you can easily spend some days here to unwind. The breakfast, lunch and dinners are exceptional and all home cooked by the attentive staff. Recommended!

Not that it was a negative necessarily, but keep in mind that the property is 30 mins from the beach and tuktuks in this area are not cheap (compared to other places in India), also restaurants are far away. The mattress is very firm, which could be a bit uncomfortable if you’re not used to it.

Incredible view, our room had windows and balcony facing the lake. Sunrises were beautiful. Very quiet and serene, tropical birds. Mr Shafi and his team took excellent care of us. He was very helpful with anything we needed, including with tours, transportation, meals, cleaning… The room was big and clean, with AC and fan (which was crucial because the climate is the hottest we’ve experienced in India). It’s located in a very cute area surrounded by canals, temples, jungle, and village houses with friendly and curious locals. No foreigners in sight around. A quiet and peaceful place for an excellent price.

This is such a beautiful and unique place to stay! Wake up to see the sun rising over the backwaters. The owner and staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. I came with 6 of my Yoga students as part of a tour of Kerala and everyone loved it here. They also cooked dinner and breakfast for us which was so delicious! You could taste the love in the food. The owner Shanavas helped me book a houseboat months in advance which turned out great! I highly recommend this quiet and tranquil place!

Nothing, but you need to plan a travel time up to 3 hours from Kochi Airport due to traffic. Of course, mosquitoes are also part of the stay due to the lake location.

We loved the delicious local food available for all 3 meals, the home stay hospitality, the beautiful green and peaceful garden with lake view. We felt very comfortable and at home during this stay. We also had our boat trip on Allepey back water arranged by our host.
