Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Rooms are minus many of the amenities of a standard hotel. No food options nearby.
Location is good. Staff responded promptly with location details. Reasonably clean. Good for budget travels.Room is about tr 300 sq feet.

The whole property had a dampy smell. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan thus the room was getting dampy and humid.

The bathroom is not a modern one but was okay. However, the washbasin had loose taps, which was not repaired during our stay. The bathroom door was partly decomposed (bottom part had decayed/rotted due to use, as it was not water-resistant). TV on/off mechanism was a little complicated and it was automatically seeking logging into FIRE TV.
Location is ideal for the purpose for which I had visited Chennai. It is located in a residential area which is very quiet and friendly.There are food outlets nearby and hence food is not an issue. The staff was very cordial and helpful. The room was very spacious and had an extra bed for kid(s).

Water pressure in the washbasin needs to be much higher. Bathroom fixtures such as soap stand, fan etc to be improved. A Wal clock Would help.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent check-in experience. I had a confirmed booking at Raj Nest Service Apartment, specifically selecting a room with a coffee maker and kettle facility, which was particularly important to me due to a recent eye operation. Upon arrival, I was informed that Raj Nest Service Apartment was fully booked and was subsequently directed to Raj Pear Apartment, with the assurance that I would receive a room with the same cost and facilities. However, I was disappointed to find that the room at Raj Pear Apartment does not include a coffee maker or kettle. This discrepancy is a significant inconvenience, especially given my medical condition and my specific requirement for these amenities. I kindly request a resolution to this issue. I would appreciate it if you could either provide the promised facilities at Raj Pear Apartment or offer an alternative solution that meets the terms of my original booking

When I went there at 12 noon for check in, they informed me that the place will be available only after 3 pm. Then they offered me a small room in Raajpearl, at a different location which they said belong to them. That room had only a queen size room. No dust bin, one dirty towel, no drinking water and no other facility as promised in the booking. Com website ( washing machine, ironing facility, hot water kettle, cloth hanger, table, chair, etc.) Certainly not worth the money. Inside a gully that was slippery and not adequate light, no ventilation. I will never go back there. Request booking. Com to verify facilities and amenities before posting such properties. Though I had to pay the full amount (Rs. 3000+taxes) and collected the key, I did not stay there. Disappointing experience.

Unpleasant stay! A rat entered the room through the gap under the door. It was a very discomforting experience before we went to sleep. When we mentioned this to the owner the next day he seemed surprised but didn't act upon it. The least he could do is give us a discount or not charge for the water bottles, but he charged us for that too.

Had a terrible experience due to booking.com and Raaj Nest. Not going to use both in future.
Not going to use Booking.com and Raaj Nest in future. Had a terrible experience. Room was booked in Raaj Nest 3 weeks before the stay. But one day before the travel, we got a call from Raaj Nest and were told that room was occupied by others and we will be put into different hotel with smaller room and lesser facilities but with the same price!!. It was a total chaos in the last minute. Tried contacting Booking.com but Booking customer care can’t be contacted once the booking is done. Our trip was screwed because of Booking.com and Raaj Nest. We will not use both in future.

This is a quite and comfortable place. Located in or near the heart of Chennai but still away from the city chaos. Rooms are not lavish but are well maintained.

This is an home stay and they too operate hospital here for a near by hospital providing rooms not safe for work and travel people to stay there they May get infected
