Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We spent three wonderful days at Rabyang Hotel in Leh as part of our acclimatization period. The hotel is located in a peaceful area, yet it's still close to the market, making it an ideal retreat for unwinding before exploring Ladakh. The rooms were clean and comfortable, creating a calming environment. However, what truly elevated our stay was the warm hospitality we received. If you’re visiting Leh, Rabyang is an excellent choice with a great price-to-quality ratio. If I return to Leh, I will definitely stay here again.

The best part of this homestay is the location. The homestay is right across the Changspa Road but still manages to stay quiet and peaceful. The owners were very warm and friendly. We enjoyed our stay in Rabyang and would recommend this place for anyone wanting a peaceful stay with an economical price.

I chose this place primarily because of its proximity to the center, and also because it wasn't a hotel. I didn't think the family that runs the place would have such an impact on me. My first impression was very, very good when Mr Kolto greeted me. He asked me to rest for a few hours before heading into the city so I wouldn't get sick. It was nice that he paid attention to the guest. And even after that, they fulfilled all my requests, they were very helpful. Due to my travels, I returned several times for 2-3 nights, and it was like coming home. The rooms are clean, spotless. Comfortable, large room, equipped bathroom. It was very good that there was a kettle in the room. The place is close to the center, yet quiet because it's not right on Changspa Road, but you have to walk down a small path to get there (1-2 minutes). There's a water filter in the hallway, so I didn't have to buy plastic bottled water. When I was traveling, I could leave my larger bag there so I didn't have to carry it. I also asked for breakfast, I didn't even have to order in advance, I just knocked and it was served. A nice, attentive family, I'm grateful to have found them in Leh. I don't think I'll go anywhere else next time.

Very hospitable staff. Room was clean and well ventilated, hot water was always available. Was well located but still quiet. Filtered water available for those interested. Checkout wasn't early and early check-in was allowed which is not trivial.

The hotel was very nice, we were surprised by the absolute cleanliness, which meets European standards. We were surprised by the very nicely landscaped garden, which in the desert around Leh is a real rarity. The owners are very nice people. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we highly recommend this place!

We had a fantastic 3 nights stay at the Rabyang Guest House. The location is perfect with less than 10 min walk to the Leh market and yet it is very quiet and peaceful. The rooms very big and well appointed. The owners always greeted us with a smile and very welcoming.

Kolto and Yangchen are great hosts. The guesthouse is off Changspa Road. It's like a green oasis in town and very peaceful. It's about five minutes walk into the town centre. Shanti Stupa is also in walking distance. The room I had was really spacious and had a lot of sunlight coming in. It's honesty a great place to stay.

Rabyang Guest House is definitely my choice and recommend by me to tourists that are looking for the best guest house in Leh. The owners make this place to be Home out of Home. The rooms are super clean. Free internet is great and the beautiful garden welcoming you to seat and relax. The owner will help you to find any local information you need.

This place is a quiet oasis close to everything in Leh. The owner, Kolto, and his family is extremely nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfortable. We so much enjoyed our stay.

Great location nice and close to the main market, but down a little side street so nice and quiet. The owners are wonderfully kind people who will help you with anything you need, and the guesthouse itself is beautiful! Also the rooms are truly lovely, especially for the price point.

Of the 10 nights I stayed in Ladakh, this was the best stay I've had. Phunsuk uncle and aunty are amazing hosts, very caring and helpful. The accommodation itself is in a calm, quiet area despite being <1km away from the main market. And the rooms are spacious, ventilated and very clean. Also a big thumbs up to the apricot jam served in the breakfast. If I visit Leh again, I'll look no further. Thanks for the hospitality :)
