Raffles Udaipur is excellent. My wife and I stayed there, for the first time, for two nights. We then went on to our next hotel in Udaipur (Taj lake palace). Raffles Udaipur impressed us more in almost every way. Location - beautiful, service from staff - outstanding, amenities - great with something for all ages, and finally the food - some of the best Indian food we've ever had. I would like to give a brief shout out to four particularly outstanding members of staff at Raffles - Prashant (a butler), Vishal (at the poolside), Tarun (a waiter) and Bablu (a chauffeur). They all gave outstanding service and were very personable. We will definitely come back to Raffles Udaipur and recommend it to others. *Also used as our Google and Trip advisor review*

The stay was pleasant , we got a pool room upgraded during our stay but the generous staff as the property was not fully occupied . The restaurant staff named anand was helpful and attentive and the flute player named anand too was good too with his soothing music during the breakfast . The butler service communication could be little better as there was some miscommunication during our check out for car service ,as there was some delay in it. Rest all was amazing during the stay

The property looks dated. The owners have done a shabby job of the architectural and interior work. Poor finishing is visible all around except in the spa and restaurants. In spite of being around for just 4 years, the property looks at least 20 years old. If it were not for the amazing management by the operator Raffles, I would have rated this property 3/10

The check-in experience was too good to be true. Sahil at the front desk was smooth, sauve and super efficient. It felt as if we had arrived to our own home. Not to a hotel queuing or waiting to be let into the room. Raffles team is at par or even better than the best I have seen around the world. The spa, restaurants, and the overall service was top notch.

Approach road is narrow. Corridors are dark at some places.

Everything about the place is luxurious. Things that stood out for me were beautiful location, view from the room, exceptionally maintained gardens and birds on the island.

A Memorable Birthday Stay I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Raffles Udaipur from June 16 to 18, and it was an experience I will cherish forever. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service was evident. We were warmly greeted by Roshan, who took us by boat to the reception while sharing the fascinating history of the place. This thoughtful introduction set the tone for our stay. A special thanks to Ravi, who went above and beyond by arranging our room with personal photos and a birthday cake, making the celebration incredibly special. Ayush then escorted us to our beautifully decorated room, ensuring we felt right at home. The Long Bar team deserves a shoutout, particularly Rohit, for his excellent drink recommendations and Vishal for his delightful guitar performances. Their contributions made our evenings even more enjoyable. Our dining experiences were equally impressive. Rahul at Sawahi provided fantastic food recommendations and served us with a constant smile, enhancing our meals. The chef and kitchen team deserve accolades for their delicious food, and we appreciate their enthusiasm and joy in serving us. Manish's heartwarming hospitality and Naveen's meticulous housekeeping ensured our comfort throughout our stay. The team managing the docks also stood out with their humility and engaging conversations about the hotel's history. What truly touched us was the sincerity and warmth of the entire staff. Despite our attempts, none of them accepted tips, which speaks volumes about their dedication to genuine service. Overall, our stay at Raffles Udaipur was pleasant, relaxing, and an absolute delight. The staff's attentiveness, the exquisite setting, and the overall atmosphere made it an unforgettable birthday celebration. Honestly, there wasn't one single aspect to our three night stay where we found fault or found was less than exceptional.

The property itself is magical, both the setting and the rooms. Our welcome was exceptional and every single interaction with staff was personable and professional. A truly memorable experience. Dined at all the restaurants and had drinks at both lounges - all very lovely experiences.

One thing to note is that you are a short drive from Lake Pichola, plus a boat ride to the hotel. For us, this was all part of the serenity and the experience was very unique. But you are away from the main action. Depending on what time of year you travel, do be aware of mosquitos as you are on a lake so we found they were quite bitey.

The hotel & grounds are simply stunning, the view incredible - it's worth exploring the beautiful gardens on foot and getting a feel for the vast property. The room was spacious and bright with a balcony and views over the lake. The service is really next level, everyone is very attentive and sweet with it. Nen and the whole butler team looked after us so well, spoiling us with treats for my birthday and looking after my husband when he was unwell. The pool area was always quiet when we used it - the team were quick to bring towels and a cool box with water and other supplies. We had drinks and dinner in the Long Bar - Tamal made one of the best Martinis we've ever had, and his old fashioned is perhaps the 8th wonder of the world. Manesh looked after us by the pool and again in the evening at dinner, going above and beyond with sweet little touches.

Though maybe not particular to the hotel, but the experience at the salon wasn't amazing. We went for hair/make up/ saree draping. Though I was absolutely pleased with my makeup, the Hair and saree experience were underwhelming. On a separate note, we found some of the food prices a tad bit high (and I'm from NYC), but I guess as expected at a 5 star resort.

WOW What a hotel! If you're in Udaipur and want to enjoy a little heavenly Oasis, then you must stay at the Raffles! We went for a wedding so that's the main reason for staying there, but wow we were just impressed by everything. The room (spectacular), the food (delicious), the facilities (amazing), the grounds (beautiful). From the moment you are greeted to get on the boat which takes you to the island where the hotel is to the moment of checkout, the experience was amazing. The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful! Highly recommend all those visiting to at least enjoy an evening or two at this palace.

The pricing of the food items it too steep. For one meal for 2 (nothing fancy) the bill comes out to about Rs.5000. This is especially steep when there are no other places to eat around the property

The only thing that needed an improvement was breakfast. When the place is packed, you'll need to wait for a table (we waited one time for 20 minutes) as they dont really have enough tables for all rooms. Also, the waiting time to get the food was pretty long and there weren't a lot of international food options at the buffet. But even that was ok as the staff was very helpful and did their best to fix everything.

First of all, the property is absolutely stunning! Everything is clean and looks brand new. The room was spacious and beautiful. Second, the service was the best I have ever had. They are taking care of anything you can think of with the highest standards and always with a smile. It was a perfect stay!
