We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesIt was bad from start to finish. The manager had assured me he would arrange for his driver to pick me up...but I needed to remind him to book the driver on the morning of the day I was to arrive. I thought that was a little strange but I did as he asked. His reply was, please remind me the day you are arriving. What? I messaged him back, saying "I AM ARRIVING TONIGHT." He then told me the driver would wait for me at door 5 of Terminal 3 (the International Terminal), holding a sign with my name on it. The driver was not there to meet me. The manager had told him to go to the wrong terminal. So then the driver wanted me to come find him in a parking lot, in an unfamiliar city. Ugh. When I got to the hotel the night manager said his credit card machine was not working and wanted me to transfer funds using a QR Code he flipped up on his phone. No way. Then he said he'd take me to an ATM to get Rupees. At midnight? In a dodgy neighborhood? Again, no way. Finally he said he'd take US dollars, but tried to make me pay more so he didn’t lose money on the exchange rate. I told him it wasn't my fault that his credit card machine wasn't working and the currency exchange rate was not my problem. We finally haggled down to an acceptable price and I was shown to my room. In a word, it was horrid. Strips of wallpaper torn from the walls. One slightly damp, mildew-smelling bath towel. A pedestal sink in the bathroom that wasn't fastened to the wall, so that when I leaned on the edge it nearly tipped over. The stainless steel cover mounted over the toilet flushing buttons came off in my hand when I flushed the toilet. Pink stains on the sheets and moldy smelling bed pillows. A TV that wasn't even connected to cable. And a remote for the air conditioner that didn’t work. My choices were either leave it off and sweat, or freeze at 21 degrees C. Since I would only be there a few hours, I decided to make the best of it.

SingaporeNot wat they show in the pictures. Terrible experience. The entrance to the hotel is in a alley filled with muddy water and holes. The road was not at all conducive for walking. The cleanliness was not tat great either. Very very basic place. We found some dead insects in the sofa. The beds were ok. The bathroom was ok basic but the shower pipe not good, there was hot water but the shower pipe broken and hard to switch on.
