Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The housekeeping staff gave us a broken ironing board and then accused us of breaking it. Before using any facility, please make sure there are no defects to avoid being unfairly blamed.
I had a pleasant stay at Rathna Residency. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were warm, helpful, and welcoming throughout. Everything was well-maintained, and the service made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

I left food on table under tv and it attracted a few ants. My fault but just mentioning here so that future guests are careful not to leave food open.
Clean room. Easy check in and out. Close to airport metro line 1 so good location. Friendly staff.

A hair dryer in the bathroom would have been nice A refrigerator is required in the room. Also the faucet in the bathroom had such force that it is almost hazardous if not careful and attentive.
The behavior of the staff was exceptional! Food was fresh. We mostly dined in our room, and room service was good

Concierge was super helpful and the restaurant was really good! Breakfast was excellent. Had we known we would’ve probably had our evening meal there too but one does need to get out and explore! On our last day, waiting on transfer to airport, we were caught between meal service times. We were able to order off the menu and they knocked out a no fuss perfect special fried rice for 3 which absolutely hit the spot. Would stay there again.

Bathroom: All problems here. First,The phone to call for help was inches away from the pull down faucet. Each time I reached for the faucet i would knock the phone down. Phone should be relocated so it is not in the way. Second, there is no ventillation system to draw off odors in the bathroom. It is something that must be fixed for the hotel to be even better. For now, a Room Fresher scented spray should be made available on the countertop. Third, the quality of toilet paper was very poor. Too flimsy. Fourth, no hand towels were provided. Was it hotel wide or was it just a mistake in my room.
Besides location being great, the Hotel was in a quiet neighborhood. Traffic outside was minimal by Chennai standards Very attentive front staff. Soundproofing must have been good since I heard no disturbances from above or sides, even though the place seemed full. Breakfast was very good with sufficient choices. The lady in charge of the area was outstanding in the way she was interacting with the guests. Well spoken perfect English. High marks here.

Health facet was really hard and too much force and hurting.. Bathroom slippery Bed sheets dirty Shampoo and shower gel was very limited .. Only one key given though requested for additional one .. which made the access difficult with family..

Staff are waiting around you when they ask for feedback and not even on the last day. I was asked for feedback on the 1st day's breakfast and when I know i have another day's stay at the hotel I don't want to blatantly give a below average rating ! Breakfast was strictly ok

The area to be improved is google location as Rapido was reaching some other place time and again
The place was exceedingly good. Reception area is ok. But, the best thing was room was extremely clean, spacious and it was quite modern. The food was great too in the restaurant.

Rathna Residency is located on a quiet street away from the chaos of central Chennai. There are a few mostly non-veg restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms are clean and an Indian breakfast is served every morning. Rathna Residency is a good option if you need basic accommodations while visiting Chennai.
