How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThis is an amazing hotel — stay here if you want to truly feel the special atmosphere of Jaipur. It’s a heritage property with a stunning interior, and we honestly felt like princesses in a palace! The staff was very attentive and kind. We ordered breakfast in the mornings and had it on the terrace. There’s also a laundry area available for guests to use freely, which was very convenient. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the Pink city, yet peaceful. Also, just around the corner there’s a great chai shop — definitely check it out! When we arrived, the room was a bit dusty, but it was cleaned properly the next day after we asked — so no big issue.

Verified reviewThis place is neat and cheap. The normal rooms are average for Jaipur but the whole house has a lot of charme, especially during the nights .Though the more pricy suites are very nice. You can walk in 15 minutes to the city centre which makes it really welll situated. Breakfast was okay but nothing special.

Verified reviewQuiet location, not far from city palace
The hotel was supposed to be relatively quiet but there were some noisy tourists singing at 3:00 am in front of the room door and some dog barking later on.

Verified reviewRawla Mrignayani Palace carries with it the very essence of Jaipur, its history, culture and care. Firstly, we were upgraded to a better suite which was a pleasant surprise to begin with, our stay was short and sweet, the staff, and the owner were exceptionally kind and helped us at each step of the way. If you are visiting Jaipur and want a regal vibe, then this is the place!

Verified reviewIt was like little oasis in the centre of Jaipur. The food was really delicious, we got a great room, the beds were good. It can get loud at night therefore I recommend wearing earplugs, but thats the case everywhere in india. The staff was very helpful and sweet, we felt there very comfortable i definitely recommend you going there. :)

Verified reviewIf you like your hotels bland, corporate and without any surprises, then this is not one for you. On the other hand if you like quirky and full of character, then this is worth a try! It is very centrally situated, though it is in a rather scruffy area. The hotel itself is the house which used to belong to the owners' family, and there are photogrpahs of their grandparents in some of the rooms. The core of the house is said to be three hundred years old, and I could certainly believe that. It has lots of pretty architectural features and has a huge sense of atmosphere. Although I was not due to arrive until midnight, the staff all waited up, and when I found the Wifi wasn't working, they rebooted it and it was fine. Certainly, one member of staff could not do enough to help. Oh, in both the rooms in which I stayed (long story, but it wasn't because anyone was at fault) the beds were really comfortable.
Perhaps it is just because it is a very old building, it has a rather shabby appearance, with plaster flaking from the walls in places. There were other little niggles like sockets that didn't work. There was a kettle in my room, but the socket by it didn't work. Water was provided, but if you were ever to boil the kettle there did not appear to be anything provided to make a drink. Come to think f it, I don't remember seeing any cups either, but I might be wrong. The bathroom didn't seem especially clean. But, as I said at the start, if, like me, you like quirky, it could be for you, though I never did find out why there was a shotgun by the kitchen door!

Verified reviewbeautiful building, spacious room and toilet with hot water. central location
the entrance is located in a dark and hidden dead end alley , not visible from the main road. getting to the place after dark as a solo traveler, woman, felt a bit uncomfortable, and this was not visible from the hotel webpage. there are a lot of stray dogs in the alley and hanging around the hotel entrance or napping by the doormat -which I don’t mind as they are peaceful - . I spent two nights in the hotel and the second night they hauled and barked non stop from 22:30 to 2 am and again from 4 am onwards, making it impossible to sleep. the water in the fridge was opened and re-bottled, which is definitely not something you’d expect from a hotel in this price range, as they know well that travelers won’t feel well drinking unbottled water. I asked for a tee bag, as there’s a boiler in the room but nothing to have hot water with, and they said they didn’t have any. I also called to asked for a rickshaw pickup at the station as I arrived after dark, and they said “there are many rickshaw just pick one”. my trip in jaipur was longer and i decided to love to another hotel rather then extending my stay here, as i don’t think this was worth the money. the new place is less “pretty” and definitely more simple (cold water only) but staff is far more supportive and happy to make your stay pleasant.

Verified reviewThey were really helpful and gave us a room with an extra bed as we were friends traveling who didn’t want to share a bed! There was a bath!! The room was clean but a little jaded and dark. The staff were really helpful. Location is good for Pink City.
There was a lot of ambient noise, staff talking in corridors and outside our room which interrupted our sleep.
