The readymade tea and coffee choice and taste. Smoking of other guests infront of the bedroom door. Everywhere there are double doors except at the entrance of the Thira flatt which leads directly to the bed room. Suggestion would be to provide a lock at the other entrance which was anyway used all the time by the staff. Would be more convenient for all and less disturbing for the guests who sleep in this bedroom.

No one from saffron stays called me prior to the trip and had to hunt the caretaker down through numerous calls to various numbers to fix menu prior to our arrival. Bed linen is not dirty but has become old and rough.

On site staff were helpful. We spent some time at camp max and though it was really hot, we had fun. Kairos, which is made in a Greek style is also very pretty.

Wifi signal a bit weak outside the main room. Location is a bit remote so you don't get phone signal. Good if you want a break from the routine, but for those who like to stay connected, it could be an issue

The location was really nice with the lake right next to the property. The food was delicious and service was excellent. The staff took good care of our specific requests since we had a couple of senior citizens with special dietary requirements. Special thanks to the staff, Prakash, Johnny and Naresh! Good collection of indoor games, and Camp Max right across the lake had enough sporting activities to keep us entertained. Highly recommended!

The entire villa was full of mosquitoes. They were in the rooms, bathrooms and living areas. We brought this to their attention and they told us there wasn’t much they could do besides provide Goodnight plug-ins. The smell of goodnight continuously for 3 days was really unpleasant and gives you a headache. Some people are allergic to this strong smell. They should take more measures and fumigate the rooms before guests arrive or have the option of mosquito nets in case guests want them. The sliding door in our room was faulty, its alignment was off which left big gaps in the door on both sides. I have filled in these gaps myself with newspaper to prevent more mosquitoes coming in. There is no handle on the door and they were extremely difficult to move. We had to use our entire body strength to move them even a little because they would keep getting stuck. They should replace or repair the door. We had to keep shutting the door for the mosquitoes and it was very difficult to do so. The curtains, cushions and carpet rugs were not clean at all. The wall socket was not working. There was a lot of noise from the neighbors who had crying babies because all the noise comes through the corridor adjoining their villa. Overall it was not very clean and very overpriced for the facilities. These are things that can still be overlooked but the mosquitoes made it an absolute no. We take a lot of care in our homes with mosquitoes because we do not want dengue or chikungunya. When we come for a getaway we want to relax, not kill mosquitoes constantly or not have a full night’s sleep and on top of that have the risk of getting sick from them.

The location is pretty and serene. There are a few different activities to do, especially for young children. Food was enjoyable and the quantities were very sufficient.

Poor facilities.We booked 2 bedroom villa but no hot water in one of the bathroom for 2 days. Charging point not working. No water in one bathroom tap. Not worth the money charged in terms of services.

saffron stays attitude made me feel like in boarding school. They daily spam with multiple emails. They were asking for food order to be given before 2 days and repeatedly sending mails/message for the same and guest details. I went to relax and not to be so bothered or worried about such things. It's not a remote location so i wonder why? Also my food had bugs. Both dinner and breakfast. Twice in a single day stay is alarming. Also during stay i got a message from saffron stays to check out early. Facilities in terms of toiletries were very limited. They make all these strict rules and want to be particular but they themselves are very callous.

We stayed in zeus thira Design and interior of the villa was amazing. You feel like in Greece. Location being on a lake was also very beautiful. Free entry to camp max (1 km away) is provided which also includes kayaking. If not for food and attitude I would have rated 10.
