How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThis was the perfect place for relaxing and exploring Pushkar. Really close to the markets and the lake yet tucked away on a quiet side street, I fell in love with this place on arrival. The rooms are above a beautiful little temple and the family are very warm and welcoming. You can even do yoga classes on the rooftop with Manish!

Verified reviewI had a superb stay at Shree Savitri Palace! The family was really friendly and cool. They were so relaxed and helpful and gave me great travel advice. The family lived in the building for over 6 generations, which added to the charm of the place. My room was large and quite comfortable. I really liked the uniqueness of the room design. The bed was very comfortable. The location was unbeatable and was literally a few minutes from the Holi celebration and the center of town. I highly recommend this place.

If you need privacy - it's not for you. You share bathroom and living room with other people.

Verified reviewLovely family, beautiful place to stay, close to town in Pushkar. The family supported us on our last day looking after our belongings, providing advice for travel options with no money incentive. We really appreciated being here & We highly recommend this property.

Verified reviewSuch a friendly and welcoming family. They manage a tightly run hotel. The kitten is clearly enjoying the attention of travellers.
I was expecting noise (see previous reviews) due to the central location. However, it's just off main street, so not too much noise. It's pretty quiet from 11-7.

Verified reviewHighly recommend Savitri Palace. As soon as I arrived I felt so welcomed. There are three generations of one family living in this home and I really felt like I was a part of it. I felt so supported during my visit to Pushkar, whether it was sharing a chai, receiving recommendations of things to do or being invited along with the family. The room was perfect for me with beautiful coloured glass windows and the location is walking distance from everything. I stayed for almost three weeks and look forward to returning. Prem, Indu, Manish, Sanjay, Vinay and family, thankyou for everything, you have a special place in my heart!
Thanks for your kind words for us ..it means alot for us may God fullfill all yours wishes

Verified reviewI have asked to change my bedsheets and the pillow, and they did it directly. They were very reactive when I needed something. The mattress was comfortable. There is hot water.
With the rain they had, the WiFi didn't work, and the network is not good inside the room (can't use my own internet). The bedsheets were not clean, and a pillow was in a very bad condition... the room overlooked the street so the noise woke me up at 7:30...

Verified reviewFor us this is the best and only place to stay in Phuskar. It is not like staying in an accommodation but rather at being in a friend's house. We love the street, the house, the sounds (morning when the dog that is barking and the garbage man shouting), the grey cow that is standing at the entrance, the stairway and the rooms that are cool even when its hot out-there, the conversations with the hosting family, the masala chai at shiva coffee next door, the drinking water that you take at the banana tree, etc..
( charging 2500 for a room/ night was way too expensive for me - even if it was the Holi)

Verified reviewThis family is the definition of hospitality. We always feel very comfortable in the house. They will remain good friends. I will come back if I return to Pushkar. Indu's (mother's) cooking is delicious, she can also offer cooking classes. They also offer to book transport for a very good price. And the nephew offers Yoga classes on the rooftop, it was really great. The house is 300 years old which gives it a real charm, the place is great for relaxing and everything was very clean. I 100% recommend this place.
