The staff at the reception were polite, but they could do with a little bit of soft skill training.

The breakfast was simple but delicious. I like how they keep the place clean and their clever use of light and color of the place really makes it a breathable and a relaxing environment. I have come here for the second time in the past two years, and have seen that they maintain the quality of their work.

The room is surprisingly small — something you notice as soon as you walk in — which can be inconvenient for anyone travelling with a lot of luggage. Storage space is limited. Pillow options aren't available, so for someone like me who needs a firm pillow, carrying one is necessary. The lighting in the room could be improved; softer lighting options and bedside reading lamps would make the space more comfortable. Only very basic toiletries are provided, which may not meet everyone’s expectations. Lastly, while the restaurant atmosphere may suit some, the volume of the music was too loud for our liking and discouraged us from dining in.

The room, though compact, was clean and well maintained. Room service was prompt and attentive, which made the stay comfortable. The hotel has a good dining menu and a nice restaurant, although we didn’t dine in due to the loud music. There's also a lively café with a weekend party vibe and great food. The TV in the room was of decent size and suited the space well. Location-wise, the property is extremely close to the railway station and within easy reach of the uptown Koregaon Park and Kalyani Nagar areas. A major plus is the ample parking space, which is a lifesaver considering the hotel’s central location. Additionally, the area is surrounded by numerous restaurants and party venues, making it a good pick for those looking to explore the nightlife — though it’s advisable to take a cab or rickshaw as parking at most places nearby is difficult.

The breakfast menu was quite ok. They need to avoid the repetitive items. . On the flip side, their restaurant, Cinnamon, was truly impressive with its amazing ambiance..

The Shantai is a good travel hotel with the essential facilities, clean rooms, hot water, good restaurant and bar, location was good for accessing other areas of Pune - fairly central. would stay again.
