How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No room cleaning in 3 days. We had to explicitly request for cleaning but even that wasnt done properly. Door mats were dirty.
Location was good but there was construction work going on when we visited due to which there was too much noise and dust.

The shower wasn't great in terms of water pressure and the temperature. Also be aware that they don't take card payment so you need cash and it's not easy to find an ATM in the area
Amazing location, just set back from the beach, our room had a balcony with a sea view so was a great place to be. Room was comfortable and spacious and the staff were very nice and helpful. Air con was in the room and very much needed given how hot it can get

Smelly room wsa the biggest problem; not as pleasant to get back to; had to wait quite long before we could find the receptionist.
Great location, 2 minutes walk to the beach. Very spacious room.

Bed and sheets could use some improvement
I had a lovely stay at this resort! The atmosphere is both comfy and cute, making it a perfect getaway. The beach is just a quick 3-minute walk away, and the cliffs are only a few minutes further, offering beautiful views. The rooms were clean, although the bed and sheets could use some improvement. One standout feature was the receptionist, Jukaj, who was exceptionally kind and always ready to help with anything we needed, always greeting us with a beautiful smile. They even assisted us in renting bikes, which made exploring the area so much easier. Overall, my stay was comfortable and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

A beach facing property in a very peaceful location. Would like to thank the manager, Dinesh for helping us with all the required arrangements ranging from rental bikes to drop in Railway station..Special mention to the caretaker Juhad who took care n guided us throughout..Giving 9 points cuz there is no tv in the property, other than that it was a 10/10 comfortable stay @Sherly Cottages

Nothing to dislike No restaurant at the hotel But they are providing tea, brekfast as on demand And restaurant is just 100 ft away

The shower had almost no pressure in one room.

It is kind of in the interior. If you don't have your own vehicle then this is not that convenient.

They said it was a room with sea view and it was not. From the first floor it is not possible to have a good view. When we entered to the room there was a mustiness.
The staff is really kind and 260 mts there is a beach where you can bath. The room is pretty big and comfortable. Good breakfast!

The manager was polite and helped us through our stay, we asked if early check in was possible and he helped us with that, Also he arranged for the bike rental and cab for our drop to Trivandrum..loved the location and the room was very spacious..All needs were taken care of on time..Had a pleasant stay

Curtains are kind of transparent so too much light coming into room, and felt a slight lack of privacy.
The room is very spacious and clean, and bathroom is in the size of a small bedroom. No insects or mosquito issues. Nice ambience and Mr. Dinesh n his wife was very courteous. See is walking distance from the room. Albeit little far, one can walk through seaside to the cliff.

The old gentle man Mr. Dinesh , the manager over there, is not co-operative at all. Don't go with family . He is not cooperative at all. Location in interior, one have to pay fare of Rs. 200 at least for reaching at main road. Very poor experience.
