I had a very good time at Shiva Guesthouse! The room I had felt like I was in Aladdin Disney movie. The place is comfortable and perfectly located in the center of the fort. Shiva was really nice and made sure I was happy. He suggested me the trip of one night in the desert which has been the best thing I've experienced so far in Rajasthan. Thank you so much Shiva, I hope I can come back again someday!

Friendly & Efficient: The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and provided quick service. Clean & Charming Rooms: Rooms were very clean, exuded an old-world charm, and had a great aesthetic. Prime Location: Perfectly situated in the heart of Jaisalmer Fort. Comfortable Amenities: Basic toiletries (soap and shampoo) were provided, and there's a nice seating area for dining and relaxing. Excellent Value: Definitely a great value for money!

Staff banged on door at 7am and again half an hour later looking for some random guy. Was surprised when a guest opened the door. Only apologised when I happened to see him on my way out.

5 of us stayed there for 4 nights , decent food , nice seating area / restaurant

Only one toilet / shower between 7 people

The owner was very helpful . Arranged dessert safari for a reasonable rate for a new year eve. Also brought my luggage the next day to bus station and helped to board the bus to my next destination

Shiva owner is friendly and provides best deals for desert camping

No proper water and electricity , have took cool water bath No proper reaction from shiva even after telling the problems

No all time hot water availability The bathroom tap wasn’t working properly The bedsheets and mattresses were not clean

Food quality and taste was great and exceptional. Location is well that is at the heart of the desert land with beautiful nature. I, definitely come again when get some slot of time suitably.

Some greenery with flowers may be /can be develop for better ambience.

Very good value for money in a great location in the fort. The building is very atmospheric, and the camel trip they arranged was fantastic. Shiva the owner was very accommodating, meeting us at the bus plus allowing us an early check-in and late check out which we very much appreciated.

If you’re looking for value for money then this is definitely the place to stay. It is a small guest house with loads of character, and we loved our stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was great.

The food - Pancake was pathetic. The hospitality even worse. It looks like a dead place where people are frowning if you stay. And the discrimination on the basis of nationality and gender is evident. May God bless them with wisdom.

The location was inside the fort, everything was within the walking distance. The thrill of staying in an very old building , heritage ,but still needs improvement. Excellent Chai. Well courteous staffs.

Vehicle cannot go to the property after 9 AM till 7 PM, so people have to plan accordingly. However, the hotel staff was friendly, they dropped me on their bike. But carrying luggage on bike was a challenge. The room could have be better maintained.

The owner, Shiva, goes out of his way to make sure your every need is met. He fetched us from the bus stop, organized our camel safari, took me on a personal tour if the fort, drove us to Bada Bagh and out for lunch. He was truly amazing! The rooms were spacious and delightful. Hot showers. Great food in the rooftop cafe. Overall a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

The friendliness and sincerity of the owners

The closet shelves in the room could have been cleaner, I think toilet paper should always be in the toilet.
