The restaurant is too expensive and lacked character. There was either loud booming music or the TV was on disturbing the tranquility. Other than breakfast there is no reason to dine in.and most people ate outside the hotel. The hotel seems to have difficulty getting a taxi, you have to sort your own.

It is a beautiful heritage property with lovely gardens and a pool. It is quiet (except the church next door has loud speakers for its service every week day morning) The staff are very attentive , friendly and kind. It is located in a small village about 10 mins walk to restaurants about 10 mins drive to the beach at Benoulim which is beautiful.

The location is a little remote - a good 30 mins walk to the beach.

The property is absolutely stunning, well maintained and clean. The staff were friendly and highly attentive. The grounds and pool were immaculate and the spa service couldn't have been better (Jane worked wonders on my back)! I would definitely recommend and would love to visit again!

The hotel is a little remote and we were woken by noises outside that the hotel can’t control like the 7:30 outside church service (with tannoy system) and the train horns.

The staff are rightly proud of the history of this house and how it has been so carefully restored. The restaurant and bar is a beautiful room with lots of old Portuguese touches.

Gorgeous Goan heritage property, very well maintained with courteous helpful staff. Comfortable beds and large spacious rooms. Our room faced the beautiful garden. Would've loved to stay longer.

Dirty & stained bath towels but replaced by senior staff. Face cloth for use as a hand towel. Later rectified by more senior staff. Changed rooms as the 1st ensuite had a broken toilet seat.

Ambiance, food very comfortable bed. Clean fresh bed linen. AND ANY PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY RECTIFIED. Staff need more training and attention to detail..at this chargeable price!

The pin location on booking.com is the wrong location - so it's actually further from the beach than we thought. At the pool there was quite a lot of noise from power tools being used

Food was limited, especially breakfast. staff struggled to understand you so therefore not most helpful and didn’t inform you of A lot, e.g music nights you’d need to book for.. we weren’t told anything was on at all so went for dinner and was told we’d have to go out or eat in our room

Be aware that the hotel adds up to 50% on the taxi to Panjim and Dabolim airport.

It has been only two years, since this handsome Portuguese villa was restored and turned into a hotel -yet there are already so many maintaining issues due to neglect and poor cleaning. The garden is very well kept, if only the rooms were as pristine and clean! Too many managers just standing around, astonishingly even the owners are daily on-site but seem to be blind about what is happening or NOT! Cleaning-boys from the village are obviously neither properly trained, nor supervised and manage to hide more often in empty rooms with their mobile telephones! The result: Dirty towels, a non-working safe, dripping airconditionings (our son had to move room), grimy bathroom floors, the dirtiest waste basket I have ever seen, non flushing toilet (next door), broken door (could not lock the door at night), mouldy sunlounges, a dirty pool. Worst of all: one can’t sleep properly, as all night long dogs are barking and noisy freight trains can be heard. Napping at the pool wasn’t possible either: one afternoon drilling was going on just beside the pool, even though there is a big wasteland, where these works could have been done, while the next afternoon a noisy machine with dark and smelly diesel fumes was started again and again. Booking was very complicated, they sent about 30 emails! Let me finish on a positive note: Breakfast and dinner were delicious (except for those stone-hard Danish), but better don’t be in a hurry!!!! The restaurant service is attentive, yet extremely slow and complicated.

Silva Heritage Hotel Goa is amazing. It is a 350 year old Portuguese Heritage building in stunning, palm tree filled, private gardens with a wonderful swimming pool. The room on the first floor was huge with four poster bed and fabulous bathroom with super shower and everything is super clean. The staff are incredible. So friendly, so responsive. Nothing is a trouble. We were personally looked after by Manager Praveen. I think we have found a friend for life! He made it his mission to look after everyone and his loyalty to the hotel is second to none. He is amazing. Thank you so much. The food was amazing and the food we had was delicious and great value. Nothing was too much. We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back later in the year.

This is a very special place - a renovated house - it is just beautiful. The swimming pool and gardens are lovely and the food is amazing. It’s very tranquil yet near the action at the beach.

Room was very poor, quite unlike the photographs on Booking.com. Small, scruffy, didn’t feel clean; minimal furniture (no chair of any kind) was in poor condition; Ineffective and noisy air conditioning and no hot water on first night; not serviced on second day and only serviced on the third day after I found staff to ask (even then, not cleaned) . Bathroom was not nice, basin loose. Balcony was tiny and overlooked rubbish tip. I saw some of the other rooms, most of which looked much nicer. We paid about $160 per night B&B for which it should have been a MUCH better stay; maybe we were fobbed off because we are foreign?

Nice public rooms and areas; nice garden. Food (breakfast and dinner) were good.

The mattress was very uncomfortable, but I'm old and my joints ache; it probably wouldn't be a problem for someone younger!

A beautiful Portuguese building in well-manicured grounds. The food was exceptionally good; breakfast, lunch and dinner - delicious and good value. A 10 minute bike ride to Benaulim Beach, which was stunning. The staff is delightful and couldn't have been more helpful.
