I really disliked that they added a 4.5% surcharge to the room rate when I paid by credit card at check-in. They charged in US Dollars without any option to pay in Rupees, even though all the pricing was in Rupees. The cc printout said, "I have been given the option to charge in US Dollars or Rupees. If I choose US Dollars there will be a 4.5% surcharge." I told the front desk clerk, "NO, I want to be charged in Rupees." He said I had no choice, that an international (US) card had to be charged in US Dollars rather than rupees. This policy of getting a few more dollars from guests really left a bad taste in my mouth. For this reason I would NOT RECOMMEND Hotel Soot.

Very nice room and rooftop bar and pool. Close to CCU airport and without traffic (5:30 am) it took 5 minutes from the hotel to the airport in hotel-arranged transport. Airport transfers were reasonable and easy to arrange by email in advance. They made a breakfast pack to take away since we had to depart the hotel before breakfast started.

All were just fine, except for the door bells in the rooms - the bell ringing is being heard in the neighbouring rooms quite loudly - was waking me up even at night, each time someone rang a door bell for my neighbour. That was quite irritating.

Breakfast were fine, location - close to the airport, what's quite convenient.

The ambience of the hotel, room, amenities, staff behaviour, facilities, location is near of Kolkata International Airport. Room is decent n spacious, washroom fabulous. Security n staff behaviour is awesome, will always greetings you when coming in and out with great smile on face.

The reception staffs were very notorious. They tried to charged me higher tariffs vut when I questioned back they couldn't respond. At the time of check out too the staff was not very cordial and again tried to charge me in excess of the actual amount.

We really liked this Hotel, it was new, nice and clean. Staff was really helpful. Room was big and comfortable, we had lovely stay. They have pool in the roof and drinks and snack bar. Food was delicious and so where the drinks. Breakfast was goos also, had many choices to choose from. We would stay there again for sure

Pool water was cold so not usable. Toilet paper was rationed. Couldn't get their card machine working. No airport transfer provided as per advertising. Bad communication.
