Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Had to ask for an electrical kettle. Only 2 bottles of 500 ml water bottles. Water quality in the Bathrooms was not good. Little hard beds

The very hard bed. The fresh and good food is a little expensive for what it is. The noise from the main guest area echos into all rooms.

The room is very comfortable, hot water 24h, big balcony, desk and chairs. And good facilities : tea boiler, shampoo, very good towels... The staff very helpful and you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner freshly cooked upon prior request. The room is quiet, no horns, no noise from the traffic.

A bit better quality soap or shampoo will really help.
Breakfast order was given the evening before and same was ready on time the following day. Food was decent for a guesthouse and price was reasonable.

We come from Kerala where its relatively hotter. Though hot water is available for baths, it felt like a bit less cold water :-).
Great staff (thanks to Mr Srinivasan, very courteous and helpful), Good facilities, breakfast was good for all 3 days we stayed. Dinner was also offered with only condition of being vegetarian and need to be ordered before 6 PM (we never had since we mostly returned late). We were 8 members in all (3 children included). The Family Suite was very good with a whole flat 2 rooms, a dining area and sitting area. The second was a standard double room.

The location was a little bit far and as it was the Christmas season we were charged a bit high
Everything was good, we had a good stay. Booked 2 rooms which were clean and neat. Staff was friendly and available whenever we needed help. Peaceful location.

I travelled with my family, (spouse, daughter and grandchildren) Had previously stayed here with friends, so selected as kid friendly. Bonus was gombe arrangement for Dusserha. Would recommend the place to others. They provided a place for the driver to sleep which was very nice of them.

Nothing as such
It was easy to reach this guest house, just 600 meters from ring road. Staffs were very polite and friendly (I forgot to ask their name, I think one was Manu. Special Thanks to him who was available during my check-in and Manu who was friendly all the time and during check-out also). It's getting newly painted, so in next couple of days it will be very nice. My check-in was hassle-free and stay was good. Ample parking space is available around property and inside the gate as well. I did not use their food service, so I can't comment on that. If I go to Mysore again, definitely I will book this guest house only. Overall very good experience compared to my worst experience previously with Oyo Rooms. You can book this property without second thought if you are looking for a budget friendly stay.

The standard double rooms are very small. There is less than 1 feet of space on either side of the bed to get onto the bed. Also, in the night, we could hear a lot of noise from the table and kitchen area, which was next to the room.
The guesthouse is clean and well maintained. The staff are prompt and helpful. HT road is peaceful.

Early check in facility should be there as 1400 hrs is too late. Bath stool and wiper may be provided. Don't expect any view. It's roadside corner guest house
