IndiaMaybe the mosquitoes, inspite of the best efforts at fogging by the resort.
Breakfast spread was good, and some items kept changing through our stay. The staff was attentive, and there was so much variety that we couldn't go through all the items even through our 3 day stay. The Executive Chef made it a point to check up with most customers about the taste of the items.

India1) The hot water came finally on the morning of our departure. Every other time the hot water was cold to lukewarm. 2) Soap dispensers were not working in the shower. They were never repaired. 3) The room was full of mosquitos. Room service sent us a racquet to deal with them at night! 4) Room cleaning does not seem to involve actual cleaning: the bed is made and towels are changed, but even trash cans are not emptied 5) At the restaurant they push you to have the buffet, which is filled with fried or heavy food. No matter what you try to order from the a la carte menu you are told that it will take 30 to 45 minutes to prepare. The only light food they could arrange for dinner was rice and dal 6) Any request to talk to the manager seems to go into a black hole

IndiaWorst service experienced at a resort, the staff is untrained and clueless about most of the things. The place is highly overpriced and feels like a scam: they give only half the toiletries (asking for a second dental kit was a task), the tissues couldn't be of cheaper quality, hot water last for only one person to shower, and the list goes on. IMPORTANT: The cafe doesn't have a written menu stating allergen information about the food served which is grossly negligent considering the place is located in a remote area with poor accessibility to outside world. I suffered an allergic reaction and all they could do was simply apologise. We were booked for two nights but decided to check out after 12hrs after paying 10K for a night of suffering. NOTE: If you want to see the Chilika dolphins, better stay on the Puri end of the lake.
