However, there were a few things that could have been better. The water level in the pool was lower than expected, which made it less enjoyable for me. It would have been great if it were maintained at a higher level.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is located in a quiet and peaceful area-perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were spacious and grand, offering a luxurious and comfortable experience. There is no social place nearby, the walkway is very quiet, it is not advisable to go out after 10PM in night.

The staff was so attentive. The room was spotless and clean. The breakfast at their little restaurant was so fresh and lovely. Great location down a nice quiet street within a couple of minutes walk to the beach.

The bathroom smelt a bit. Didn't get the same amazing hospitality we had elsewhere in India. The grounds could have been kept tidier with less clutter and building work stuff lying around.

The homestay could be so much better with a little more thought for needs of guests, no toilet paper unless requested, nowhere to to hang clothes, power cuts when using A/C

Swimming Pool. Its just an eye-wash. Its nothing close to what a pool should be. Do not go for the pool. Rest its fine for 1-2 days stay.

The listing needs correction as there is no sea view room, only garden or pool view. This has been highlighted to the staff who acknowledged the mistake. However, the listing has not been corrected yet which can be misleading for anyone who books in future. Also, the breakfast was provided very late and could have been a bit earlier or at least on time. Lastly, the pool lounge area requires better maintenance.

The location was close to the beach yet cut off from the crowd and commotion. The room was well maintained and clean. The staff were very warm, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was homely and tasty. To summarise, it was a peaceful and pleasant stay at Tamarind Villa.

They didn't give many basics like soap or shampoo. The hand wash bottle was filled with water mostly mixed with just little soap. The milk creamer was expired which is really shameful in the hospitality sector. The AC remote wasn't working. The flush wasn't working. No all-out. There were mosquitos and a couple of lizards.

The property was spacious and classy. It's next to odayam beach where you don't have much to see. The main beach is varkala beach which is 1.5km walk or 3km by car.

A little flexibility on timings to pre order food would be great.

The villa is located near the Odayam Beach and it's just a 2 minutes walk. To be honest, this villa is much more prettier than the pictures. It just has 4 rooms so it's never crowded. The aesthetic and interiors of the place is quite nice. The small pool really helps cool down during afternoons. Staff was cooperative and helpful. So, if you want to skip the massy vibes of the cliff and need a peaceful stay, would highly recommend this.
