How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Not anything on top of my head as it's a guest house the room size where small but fits 2 people for sleep and rest
It's very close to Virupaksha temple and a calm place with options for food, shopping etc in walkable distance

Nice small hotel, good art in the room and i liked that my window was to the street. Nice view from the rooftop, you can see the main temple. Guys who work there were helping with everything.

check out is quite early but i was able to leave my bags at the property.
Santhosh was very accommodating. the room was quiet and had AC, everything else was basic but provided. Very good location. They also offer tours and pick up and drop off from the train station.

Compared to others places in India I found the price here a little bit high, also the tour mentioned above was pricey.
The staff was amazing. Everyone was kind, friendly and helpful. I felt very safe there as female solo traveller and would definitely recommend this guest house to others. They offered me taxi shuttle from and to my bus and also a day tour to the ruins with a very friendly driver. Thank you so much!

Room was a little tight with two people and bags. Shower was a little lacking.
Tidy and clean, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Great location and very nice guesthouse.

Nothing, photos are a true reflection
Location, room was basic as photos confirm but clean . Owner was brilliant responsive to all my questions. We arrived very early and he kindly gave us a room to rest in before our room was available. Organised 🛺 to meet us in Hospet. Shambhu was our tuk tuk driver, he was brilliant and drove us around for 2 days showing us his amazing Hampi nothing was too much trouble.

Room too small, bathroom without sink. No common areas. In general is okay but it the place is definetely overpriced for what you get. Just walk a bit further from the temple and you will find better options for better deals
The bed and pillows were very comfortable comparing to other places we have been to.

It’s a basic room. Bathroom didn’t even have a sink. I think it’s expensive for what it is.

The Guest House was quite basic but had aircond, hot water and wifi.
The location was good in the vicinity of the main temple. Good place to watch sunset and near coracle ride on the river.

Nothing really it’s a basic property but has everything I needed.
Perfect location. Right near the temple and river. Bazaar is 2 minutes walk. The staff were great very helpful and friendly. Basic accommodation but it’s clean and I felt very safe as a solo traveler. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Great location to explore Hampi, staff booked us tours and TukTuk drivers that were very professional. Adbar was great.

Would be better if the room had a sink
Great location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Arranged a fabulous tour in a tuktuk around Hampi Sanoo ( can’t spell). Was a great driver and knew lots of history Great view of the temple from the roof terrace

Staff were friendly and really helpful. They arranged a tuk tuk to collect us from the train station and let us check in very late. There was free water, the room was basic but very clean and the location was fabulous. Amazing views from the roof. Close to restaurants.
