There's nothing I have disliked but yes I would like to recommend them to improve food quality and quantity. I was a bit unsatisfied with the Maggie I ordered.

The hotel was unexpectedly amazing. It was the best decision to book this hotel. Location was easy to find and everything was easily accessible. We had asked for late check in and the room was kept ready for us unlike most hostels don't usually allow this. But upon reaching we were greeted very nicely. There were certain points I would like to highlight about the hotel 1. Owner and staffs were very cooperative and helpful 2. Rooms were not exactly the same as shown in the images. Though I upgraded to Premium room from Super Deluxe. And the room had every facility needed. It was super comfortable 3. My booking didn't include breakfast but the owner was so sweet to provide us with breakfast and water for all days are complimentary 4. Their hospitality and service was super impressive and I even extended my stay 5. Their check ins and check outs are very flexible. They have proper safety measures. 6. They even provided us with the invoice of our expenditure and charges which clearly shows how authenticately and genuinely they work 7. It clearly provides what it promises I am clearly very happy with my stay and the sweet people I got to know It's a must visit hotel

No in house restaurant...which means although you get to order room service, food is not steaming hot. If you are a person who likes to look out of a window... you might opt for the top floor.

Ideal location for my visit to the vfs office. 9 mins to walk. Quiet neighbourhood..so can sleep. Linen and bed comfortable for the price you pay. Room is small but does the job if its only for business.

The location doesn't feel as close as I had expected it to be to the Acropolis mall. The toilet which is an indo-european one, doesn't meet my Should it have been, I would have rated it a 10 for the value.

The room was excellent. The staff is pleasant and prompt. I enjoyed the complementary breakfast, it felt like a homemade meal. I thank the host for hosting me and congratulate them for maintaining such a wonderful hotel.

Spotlessly clean, very well maintained, bed arranged with so many designer pillows and super comfortable. The attendant takes pride in saying he maintains everything including cleaning. Meticulously planned, hope customers will reciprocate accordingly.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel The City of Joy. The staff were incredibly helpful and warm, and the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel were simply exceptional. The location was perfect—just a 15-minute walk to the VFS office—which made things so convenient for me. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease throughout my stay. I can confidently say this is the best place to stay in the area. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for your outstanding hospitality!

The room felt extremely suffocating due to poor ventilation. The bed was inadequate for two people, despite being advertised as suitable for two adults and one child. In reality, it was challenging to accommodate even two individuals. The bed runner and floor were covered in hair and sticky, and the linen was in poor condition.

The overall experience was pleasant, and the hotel was well managed by its owner and staffs. even I got complimentary Breakfast, the location was favorable if you're travelling with your family or by your ownself. Loved the hospitality. It was my first time and I think it will be my go to stay. Cleanliness and hygiene were maintained. The staffs were very well trained and were best at what they were meant for. Plus, although the breakfast was not included but it was provided by their side which was commendable. My personal recommendation do visit to have a good stay in budget.

Double bed was just not double. It was a small bed with two pillows in it. If that’s what you call a double bed, sorry you need to change it. My parents were just not comfortable. I saw them over video call. It was too congested.

My favourite hotel in Kolkata. I always come here when I'm in Kolkata. Great and helpful staff. Owner is super friendly. They are always welcoming and help out whenever you have a problem. Rooms are nice and in good condition. Location isn't bad. Guests are allowed as well. Great value for money. Overall I always enjoy my time here, and I'll definitely book here again when I am in Kolkata.
