Would love to have more variety in food and beverage options throughout the day. The rooms felt a bit congested for 10 but could use curtains attached beds for privacy. Thorough daily cleaning of bed and washrooms would be great as it's a common hostel.

Amazing vibe created by the hosts. Very well maintained. Food is great with amazing views and vibe. Small events planned by hosts are very much appreciated. Kudos to them.

I loved the location of the hostel. I would say if anyone is looking for a calm stay with no touristy buzz, Door to Nirvana is the place for you! I genuinely did not expect it to be this beautiful with serene views. Worth appreciating how well the owners have kept the property and how well they treat the guests. Akhil (the hostel host) even helped me with a detailed itinerary and the DOs & DONTs of the area. One can spend time walking in any direction from the hostel and you'll be exposed to wide spread green fields of tea plantations. I stayed in an 8-bed mixed dorm and I must say the size of the dorm was pretty decent. Usually hostels make large capacity dorms too cramped but this one was among the best I've seen.

Tea/coffee is priced quite high for a hostel. Everything else is good and acceptable

Very clean beds and toilets. The food is great. You can customise and the cook will make it for you. Try chapati with chilli chicken!

Very nice location outside of Kotagiri in the hills. From here you can walk in the tea plantations to a little village as well as to a look out to waterfall. Very autbentic! The hostel is beautiful with a nice hang out area and the friendly staff offers breakfast, lunch and dinner in good quality for a fair price! You ll need thT because to get to Kotagiri ist either a 3-4 km walk or a Taxi ride.

Even though the bathroom is fitted with modern equipment for sophistication, I felt the space is cramped for tall people Also the prices of food they provide could have been little nominal, I felt it’s costly

This property is a great place to unwind, amazing location and awesome hosts. The dorms are attached with a sit out area looks up to a tea estate. The rooms and common areas were very clean

This was amazing stay at The Door to Nirvana. Very friendly atmosphere, staff is helpful, beautiful location with fabulous views. Rooms are wooden, cozy and spacious with balconies. Food was delicious, freshly prepared. Highly recommend this place, if you are nearby, you should definitely visit.

But a little overpriced. Also the location is too far from Kotagiri. Own vehicle is must. Public transport is not available frequently.

Amazing place off the beaten track. The owners are amazing and were really helpfull with the organization of activities. The structure is brand new and has a real “hostel vibe”. One of the best places we have been to in India!

Nestled in nature's serenity, the door to nirvana offers a perfect retreat for backpackers. The unique and spacious property exudes calmness and tranquillity. The interior works and the comfortable place along with the people they are so good , a scenic beauty in the middle of plantation, typical place to chill and enjoy your vacation. Heaven for solo travelers

Neha and Akhil are the most friendly hosts you can wish for, and the same goes for their working team. Rooms are comfortable, food is good, and there are dogs to pet - what else, right ?! Only good vibes in this relaxed and beautiful place, in the middle of what I thought to be the best panoramic views of the region.

Most beautiful hostel I have been to. Everyone is so nice. Nice hosts, great staff, cute dogs, lovely property. There is so much space to hangout and do your work. I wish I had spent a week here, I hope next time.

Plug point near one of our beds didn't work. And hygiene of bathrooms was doubtful.

The location and the view is breathtaking. It is very clam place to relax with friends. We absolutely loved the place.
