The mattress was uncomfortable as was the covering. The blankets too heavy and lumpy for the weather. I'm certain microfibre comforters are not too expensive.

Breakfast was wonderful with Service at the table. Missed the Bacon with the eggs; but the standard of the coffee made amends. The Service was just unparalleled with some being better than the others and they all had the old world charm of being happy to feed/serve you. Basudeb, Anjali, Abhijit, Jonas were the outstanding service staff. Sushanta Ghosh, the manager runs a tight ship and realising it's a small boutique hotel extends an individual warmth and attention.

We loved the room. Large and well appointed. It was comfortable. There was a table fan and heater to suit the weather.

They could have given us a better room. The room was too small and had barely walking g space and charged for the kids bed extra Rs 2500 which was unnecessary for the tourist like us.

The view from garden waa excellent- ypu could enjoy the sunrise from the property itself.

Bed size is very small. The corner sofa is almost unusable, even to sit comfortably. At this price point we expect at least a bigger sofa inside room to sit comfortably.

One side of the hotel rooms have magnificent views of the garden and the mountain. However, the other side faces the road and the wall. Unfortunately, I got the room on the other side that was noisy because of the road and no great view. I would advise guests to confirm if you can get the view first. If not, it could be a huge miss for the price you pay.

The facilities and the hotel in itself was wonderful and cozy.

Too many calls to remind on meals

This was perhaps one of the most memorable of stays in India and the heritage property is one of the most gorgeos ever. The reception staff, manager, housekeeping staff especially Maya and the restaurant staff were exceptional. The food is very good and since we were at the time of lower occupancy the al lacarte breakfast was beautiful . The lawns and Gazebo are absolutely gorgeous as well.

the heaters were not enough for the large size rooms. one of our rooms was visited by one of the local rodents!

perched on a small hill the sweeping views of the valley and mountains are splendid. the manicured gardens look wonderful first thing in the morning when you look out of the windows of this magnificent heritage building which is majestic in its appointments. the bar is warm cosy and plush with leather upholstery and the dining hall befits the presence of royalty!
