Breakfast was very nice. Homely environment. We asked them to make Aloo Parathas and the staff literally waited for us to get ready in the morning and then they made and served hot and delicious breakfast. Thank you

We booked three rooms. All were decent. In the bathroom glass partition will help to dry the rest of the bathroom area. Our stay was comfortable. Breakfast we ordered bread omelets, that was reasonable and nice.

    Property response:

Dear Shweta, Thanks for choosing us and we are happy to know that you loved your stay with us. Regarding the glass partition suggestion in bathrooms, we will surely work upon it. It is always good to hear the constructive feedback from our esteemed guests so that we can improve ourselves to our guest expectations.

Fabulous haven of calm after the Taj Mahal. The garden is not quite as the photo but nice anyway. Easy to find and peaceful, I would recommend this property.

    Property response:

Dear Julie, a big thanks for such a fabulous feedback. We really enjoyed hosting you. And my sincere apologies for the garden not being as green as in the photo. Unfortunately, the hot weather from April-June is very harsh on plants since the temperature touches 48-50 deg. Centigrade. We try our best to protect our plants but somehow the hot and humid air does the damage. We will surely try to keep a green cover over plants to protect them. Thanks again.

Location was ok (close to the Metro which is very clean, safe and takes one fast to the Taj Mahal or the Red Fort). Two of the employees were very friendly (they helped me out with change for the Tuk Tuk driver because.. surprise.. the driver did not have any).

It does not feel like a Homestay. No one of the family (I suppose they live on the ground floor) showed interest in me. I have been to Homestays where I really felt like I was living with the family. Hygiene could be approved (i.e. I have been given dirty toilet paper). No functioning safe.

The kindness of the staff was unsurpassed. They were communicative before arrival, easy to work with, generous in their service and able to support my rare dietary restrictions to top it off. Dr. Raj's father was the first tour guide of the Taj Mahal, and served as the single guide for all US Presidents from Ronald Reagan to Bill Clinton. Growing up around this, he is a wealth of knowledge and a joy to get to talk to about the history of Agra, Taj, and India as a whole.

    Property response:

Dear Lauren, a big thanks for choosing us as your stay option. We absolutely loved having you and showing you the unseen and offbeat Agra. It was so interesting to talk to you over so many things and it's always good to know whenever our guests appreciate the little efforts we make everyday to keep their expectations. We look forward to have you back someday soon.

    The accommodation was fine.

AVOID. I organised a private 'Get Your Guide' transfer from Agra to Delhi. The host (The Hideout Agra Homestay near Taj) had heated words with my driver and took a photograph of the vehicles number plate, and with ten minutes of leaving, my vehicle had been stopped. After 30 minutes of my driver pleading a case, with people understood to be criminals, I was asked to get into a junk taxi organised by said criminals, with a driver with the reddest of teeth, for the remainder of my three-hour trip to Delhi. This I outright refused and therefore had to make my own way to Delhi from that point which was the side of the main road. This was an ordeal over the entire day, adding an additional 4 hours to my previously arranged travel plan, and included making my way to the nearest train station. Coincidence maybe, or just a normal way of business in India, but I feel the host created this issue for my driver (i.e. taking photo of number plate) as these criminals were scanning for number plates of vehicles leaving Agra using photos on their phones. I had 30 minutes of waiting to observe this while my driver did everything to have the vehicle released. Beyond this ordeal, I had no other issues with the guest house. It should be noted, Get Your Guide refunding the entire cost of the stopped vehicle. I feel that the host interfered with my transfer and provided the photograph of the number plate to local criminals. Two days previous I travelled from Jaipur to Agra using the same transfer company - no issue.

    Property response:

Dear Guest, this is an outright lie to tarnish our reputation. You booked a private transfer yourself & we are not responsible for anything that happens once you leave our property on your self booked transport. We reached out to you on WhatsApp for more details & identify any of my staff who according to you had exchanged heated words with your driver. But we got no reply. You have edited your review twice, earlier saying this incident happened on the way from Delhi to Agra. Now you say it's Agra Delhi. We checked our security camera feed & we could not find any of my staff talking to your driver or taking a photo. It's clear that it's a confusion of some sort that you are complaining about this incident after more than 15 days. Moreover, India is not Somalia or Sudan where such criminals can suddenly stop you on the road & force you to change the vehicle. Also, if there were indeed criminals as you said, they won't let you walk away as easily as you said when you refused. This is a nice story but factually incorrect. Better try your luck with Netflix next time.

A Hidden Gem in Agra Staying at this B&B was an absolute delight! Tucked away behind a charming little garden, this place is a true hidden gem. The interiors are beautifully curated, exuding warmth and elegance, making it feel like a home away from home. The host is an incredibly kind, cultured, and attentive person who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. He helped us with every logistical detail, from arranging meals to organizing transport and even ensuring a smooth airport transfer to Delhi. His hospitality made all the difference in our trip. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, air-conditioned, and equipped with all the comforts one could need. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully taken care of. Beyond his hospitality, the host is also a wonderful conversationalist, making every interaction a pleasure.

A peace of heaven in Agra! From the location that was just perfect - close to the best, cleanest and nicest avenue of the city. - to peace and conform of this great place to the kindness of the staff. Everything was just perfect. Addition - Agra, as a city, is different to what I had expected, so location is very important. The avenue that is in a minute distance has multiple shops, restaurants, cafes, bars etc, all that tourists need after a long walking day - good food, great places and fun.

We loved our stay in Agra. The people were very caring and helped us with everything. The hotel is very nice and has a nice terrace. We also booked our transport from Delhi Airport to Agra with the hotel, which was perfectly done (driver on time, provided water, organized coffee break, etc).

    nothing to mention

The silence. The decoration. Size of the room and very comfortable beds.

When we organised with the hotel a full day of auto, the hotel only arranged 1 small auto for 5 people plus driver (even though we asked a big one for 5). It was a great experience but it became uncomfortable after some time. The curtain in our room was a bit short for the window to cover light and give privacy.

The best stay in our 1 week India journey! From the pickup, ordering food, money exchange, to tour, our host really went beyond to make our stay comfortable! We felt very pampered :D The highlight (and must do) is the streetfood tour!! We were still talking about the tour sometimes :) Highly recommended place to stay!!!

    - Although it was cool to immerse in the daily life of people in Agra, the old city walking tour felt a bit lost since the guide could not speak English well (he tried his best, but still...)
