I recently stayed at Hideout for a short 2–3 day trip, and it truly lived up to its name — a hidden gem in every sense! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The ambiance is peaceful, the surroundings are beautiful, and the entire experience was incredibly refreshing. The stay itself was very comfortable, with cozy rooms that made it feel like a home away from home. But what really stood out was the food — absolutely delicious! Every meal was prepared with so much care and flavor; we looked forward to it every day. The hosts were the heart of the experience. Not only were they warm and welcoming, but also very knowledgeable about the area. They recommended some amazing nearby trails and lesser-known spots that we would’ve otherwise missed. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful getaway.

There is a bit of construction going on in this village. But I think that's happening almost everywhere in Manali. Still is place is way more peaceful than what I have experienced at other properties

A gem of a place with really clean dormitory, washroom nd delicious homely food. This location is perfect if u want homely vibes nd peaceful stay. More than anything the host nd the staff are really warm, friendly nd helpful. I'm surely coming back to this place for a slightly longer stay soon ✨

If you are an explorer, there are many hiking trails nearby. If you are a slow traveller (like me), its a peaceful place for your 'Get up, eat, sleep, repeat' cycle. Perfect for lazy long stays. Special mention- Gobhi parathe by Lucky ☺️ Warning: The fresh homely food can make you overeat everyday!

It's not that i didn't like it, but just that if you are someone who likes cafe hopping and all, you have to go to Old Manali for it. There are cafes and restaurants nearby the property as well but not many.

I stayed here in November and i thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hostel. It's an offbeat location and is quite peaceful. The view from the dormitory window is really stunning. The food cooked by the property staff and hygiene is top notch. Highly recommend to all backpackers

I wish I had more time to spend at this hostel :(

As a solo female traveller, I wasn't very confident initially but then my stay at hideout hiraeth changed my perception. What a wnderful and memorable time I had at this hostel. Great location and quite safe and easy even for a noob solo female traveller like me :P . Highly recommended to travellers who want peace, offbeat experience and tasty food. The staff and the host are very friendly and cooperative people. Really want to come back to this place again.

Amazing property with amazing views and delicious food. We stayed for a week and had a great time with "The Hideout". The hosts were very friendly and the location of the place was also great since it was just outside the hustle of the Manali town but still very nearby to Manali

I visited this hostel with my friends. Peaceful place, wonderful location, tasty and hygienic food, and friendly staff. Internet works fine. I got wifi speed of nearly 30-40 mbps. Highly recommend for backpackers and solo travellers Also the host Anshul, he is so humble and helpful.

Certainly! Here's a shorter review: --- I had a fantastic stay at [The Hideout]. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the communal areas were perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The location was ideal, close to major attractions and public transportation. Great kitchen facilities, reliable Wi-Fi, and a delightful breakfast. Highly recommend for a comfortable and enjoyable stay! The people are very friendly, especially Property owner Rohit bhai, great indian chef’s Happy&Lucky, Hacker Prashanth bhai. They made it feel like home and treated me like a brother💚 --- Feel free to customize it as needed!

Bed & pillow could have been of better quality, "I" got slight neck & lower back pain.

Literally breathtaking view! Seven mountain gradients formed one after the other, especially the view from the common food eating lounge on the first floor is super amazing (the property is G + 1 :-D), Humble & accommodating staff, Yummy tummy food (try Happy's Biryani, Mushroom Sandwich & egg omelette he makes it well and oh yeah ask for strong coffee trust me clubbing the food with the view makes you even more calmer), Commuting from this location to waterfalls & sightseeing is super comfy (travel by HPST busses they are mostly on time with 5-10 mins std deviation :-) and they stop by show of hand :-) isn't that super amazing culture). Room was clean they provide sheets, comforters, quilts (but bed & pillow quality could have been much better), towels (hand & body), they provide body shower gel & moisturizers (must say of good quality), Solar powered hot water (we had gone on 26th Dec despite of the weather being 6 degrees Celsius or low we used to get hot water in 10 mins of running the tap - :-( yeah one has to waste some water but its needed), common house heater is in the ground floor along with the common TV (we didn't ask for personal room heater so don't know if they provide it or not but they should provide it with some additional cost I say ask for personal heater if you are not carrying well insulated clothing even for sleep it is important as despite the room insulation it gets super cold in the night). It doesn't feel like a hostel stay. I will definitely stay here again if I am in Jagatsukh :-)
