Behaviour of staff and helping nature. Due to a situation I have to check in after midnight. it was difficult to find someone but when I found the security everything went smoothly afterwards. Special thanks to the staff member for accommodating my request for late checkout.

IndiaBreakfast is the only sad affair. Not much choice -- puri-n-sabji, bread-n-egg or bread-n-butter plus tea or coffee. This is the place I would like to see improvement. I prefer sitting in dining place and have breakfast but was served in room. Besides timing is bit late, starts from 8 / 8:30 am.
Location is in middle of market hub of Lake Market. Take one step out of hotel and you are in Market. I like this because everything is within reach and Metro rail is about 5 min walk. Room is small and clean but no frills. My room was free from market noise.

Location is very good. Access to public transportation is also very good. Also, very close to the Kalighat temple, which is huge attraction in Kolkata. Also safe for women. The staff are very courteous and helpful.

IndiaBecause the hotel stands on an active market street and across a meat market - if noise or the sight of meat is a problem for you, then best to avoid this place. The staff means well, is well intentinoed - but not professional. So if you ask for something, it may not get done untill you ask twice.
The location of the hotel gave me walking access to many south indian breakfast places, Kalighat station is a 5 min walk, the Kali Mandir is a 12 min walk... I enjoyed that.

United StatesWhen we entered the room at 12 am on Sunday, there was no water bottles or toilet rolls. Bathroom was slippery, one of our family member had a fall escaped with minor scrapes. While booking there was a mention of airport pickup, when we called they denied.
Though a very busy street location wise, it was was ok.

United KingdomThe room walls had yellowish spots all over. The kitchen had no door and faced a men's urinal 2 feet away with no door either. The photo's on booking.com don't match the hotel. 2 days after we left, we received an email from booking.com saying that we didn't check into the hotel. and we had paid for 2 room's for the full 5 day's ,although we didn't stay at the hotel for 2 day's and 1 night. Their is a fish meat market opposite the hotel so very bad smell when u come out of hotel. Over all, I wouldn't go back !
Check in and out was fairly smooth, Staff was good.
