The receptionist asked to cancel the booking on Booking.com and said we would get extra discounts. This I don't appreciate at all. They took some time to prepare the room for us. Could've been more responsive, honestly. It was a decent stay - but they can take care of these aspects.

The location was good. The facilities were good. The staff are courteous and polite. Breakfast on both days was excellent. Lunch was okayish. They allowed me to keep the luggage on the day of departure for a few extra hours post checkout.

Check-in was smooth, even though I arrived quite late. They WhatsApp-ed me in advance to confirm my arrival time, which was a thoughtful use of modern communication. When I finally arrived, they noticed I was tired and didn’t rush me with payment. That small gesture meant a lot after a long journey. I also had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant that night. I initially thought it would be pricey, but the food was affordable and surprisingly tasty — a great option when it’s late and you’re too tired to find restaurants outside, especially in an unfamiliar city. Throughout my stay, the staff were kind and attentive. One moment that really touched me was when the elderly guard insisted on helping carry my luggage during checkout, even after I said it wasn’t necessary. It wasn’t about tips — it was about responsibility and genuine care, and that’s what truly sets them apart. The room was small but had everything I needed: fan, air-conditioning, hot shower, and a clean space to rest. As a solo traveler, I didn’t need a big or fancy room — just something functional and comfortable, and this place delivered exactly that. Location-wise, it’s very close to a metro station, making it convenient to get around Kolkata. It’s not in a luxury area, but that made it easier for me to connect with local culture, which was one of the goals of my trip. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value — around USD 40 per night, which is very reasonable given the facilities and service. It may not have the polish of a 4 or 5-star property, but in terms of hospitality, warmth, and sincerity, it’s definitely top-tier.

It is a great experience to stay here. The room and the bathroom are very clean and well maintained. The staffs are very helpful and cordial. Room service is also very good. The food was delicious. We enjoyed staying here.

I loved staying here!! It was my first time on a solotrip and before I booked, I wanted to make sure I would be somewhere beautiful with kind staff After reading a lot of great reviews, I chose to stay at this hotel and now I've been here myself, I can definitely say it was perfect for me and all worth it! They have the best people working here, that make your stay feel very personal and warm. The best food I ate this vacation was actually at the hotel (which is not common for me, because normally I prefer going out for dinner) They've been helping me with every (stupid) question that I had and with everything just so fast. They were all just so kind, I just can't put it into words! Special thanks to all and ofcourse the housekeeping for keeping my room this clean Thank you all so much again and you'll definitely see me back!

Breakfast could have a few more options but what they had was good

Great location! We were able to walk wherever we wanted to go. Close to everything. Breakfast was good- room was spacious and had all you need. Front Desk was friendly and helpful. We valet parked but there are several parking garages close as a inexpensive option. We will definitely stay there again!

Water was stagnant in the bathroom and when asked to check, the housekeeping staff said that nothing can be done. Wi-Fi connectivity also not available on time. AC was not cooling the room properly. Room was very congested and was not smelling fresh. TV remote was also having issues.

The hotel messaged me before my stay requesting prepayment, saying they would send a link for this, but then didn't send it right away. The booking was supposed to offer free cancellation until 6 p.m. on the day of arrival. I asked if this prepayment would still be refundable according to the stated conditions, to which they replied my reservation was canceled! I said I didn't want to cancel it, but there was some uncertainty about my trip. They said it was refundable up to one day before my arrival. There were airport strikes on my planned routing and it wasn't clear until the last minute whether I would be able to travel as planned. I did not make the requested (partial) prepayment, and again they said my reservation was canceled, but the website still showed a valid reservation, so I just went there when I arrived. Check-in was fine, no issues. The room was a bit cramped, the bed not super comfortable and the lighting not particularly pleasant, and there was still trash from previous guests in the waste bin. It looked quite nice on the website, but I wouldn't choose it again.

The staff were reasonably helpful. The location was okay.

The location is quite noisy due to the road and due to lack of soundproof windows, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Cleanliness could also be improved—the the walls were very dirty, bedsheet had two holes, and the toilet was very slippery, which was a safety concern. Breakfast was below average, nothing special, but overpriced. Not many choices on the menu and on top of that some of them were not available. The bedsheets had too much detergent, making them feel sticky, which was uncomfortable. Housekeeping service also needs improvement—when I requested an extra pillow, they initially brought one that was quite dirty and simply wanted to put a clean cover over it. I got a replacement when asked, but it raised concerns about their hygiene standards. We booked a room for 3, but the room was clearly for one person. They had only one cup for coffee. They offered a replacement room which was bigger but it didn't have any windows. In retrospect we regret not taking the windlowless room, probably would have been better for the sleep. Overall, the hotel is okay but overpriced for what it offers. 4300 INR per night is not justifiable. With better maintenance and service, it could be a much better experience. They need to recruit more housekeeping staff.

The room feels a little shabby, and the bathroom needs a deep clean to remove limescale and to generally make it feel fresher. Some basic maintenance is needed (various fixtures kept falling off) and I think they should buy a new, crisper set of sheets and replace the slightly worn sheets currently being used.

Good location (although noisy traffic) it is close to Park St and the metro so that makes it pretty convenient. Decent breakfast and the staff are pleasant.

I reached middle of the night , the hotel gate was locked and I was stranded outside for over 15 mins at 3 am, had to call hotel manager a few times at his cell (who provided that number for payment collection before) to enter. There were bugs crawling on the wall in the room. There were many mosquitoes as well in the dining area. I was paranoid to see them. This is not uncommon in India, but 70 bucks per night is like 4 star hotel in India , so this basically means they should reduce the price specially in booking.com

Everything. The guy at breakfast made a horrible face when we ordered food. So cramped up and people were not that helpful.

Actually nothing. I stayed for one night and INR 5K above seemed too pricey for a m mediocre room with a horribly hard bed.
