Everything. We stayed for a total of 3 nights, over a 5 night trip. Food was good, beds were comfortable, the property was clean, and they had the best showers that had an endless supply of hot water. Staff are all excellent, and will be happy to assist you with processing your permits to visit particular areas. The manager in particular goes above and beyond for you.

India1. Sofa in my room (semi suite) wasn’t clean. Must be vacuumed. 2. Buffet menu was not exceptional. Yes, it was good but options are very limited. Taste is 3.5-4 out of 5 depending on what you eat. Even order in room food menu is very limited. I was expecting Tibetan/Ladakhi cuisine on the menu but it wasn’t there. 3. There’s a sharp kerosene/petrol/generator smell in the entire building atleast once a day for 2-3 hours which is bothersome. 4. Toothbrush & tooth paste are not provided in toiletries which I think is very basic and must be provided. 5. It would have been great if windows had netting so that we can open it in the afternoon for ventilation. There was no netting, so if you open windows, for sure there’s going to be an insect/fly or two in your room. 6. Internet is a big problem. But anyway it’s clearly written by the hotel that Wi-Fi access is only in public areas. There’s a very poor Wi-Fi connection in room. So can’t really complain but would have loved a seamless Wi-Fi connection.
1. Location is great. Near to market. 2. Well built, cozy sheets, large size beds, electric kettle, furniture & plumbings in washroom were great. 3. Manager Mr. Dinesh was very kind, helpful and assisted us with a lot of things. He is a very good host. 4. I like that the kitchen staff took care of customisations requested while ordering food. And the food isn’t over spicy or oily. 5. We are given a semi-suite which was super good & had 2 washrooms. 6. Room service call is attended promptly. Anything you need, just call the reception and they will assist you immediately. 7. Towels & tissues were clean & tidy. 8. Room service staff cleaned the room daily and replaced used towels with fresh towels, discarded dustbin garbage and cleaned washroom too. 9. Beautiful garden. Beautiful flowers, fruits & veggies everywhere in the garden, it just looks appealing & smells great. 10. There’s an almirah to keep your stuff and they will provide heater if you need, hairdryer is also available if you need. 11. Spectacular view from the Room. It’s surreal.

IndiaEverything is good about this property, in terms of location, cleanliness, service, food, stay etc, but apart from all these good things, we loved the hospitality. The hospitality at the hotel is extremely impressive. it is no less than the one at a 5-star accommodation. We travel a lot (national and international), but I would say that the experience at this hotel has been our one of the best experiences. The owner of the hotel made an effort to meet us specially and made a special arrangement for us so as to make our stay even more comfortable. He is a very humble man despite being a big businessman. Mr. Dinesh, the manager of the hotel, is an extremely professional person, who is working here since many years. He is very polite, very helpful and will make every effort to make your stay comfortable and he often goes out of his way to make things happen for you. He always comes to the dining hall, during the breakfast and dinner and asks every guest if everything is good enough; and if you make any special request, he will fulfil it. He is gem of a person. I could not thank him enough. We have been to Leh 3 times (2022, 2023 & 2024). Every time, we have stayed here. The first time in 2022, we booked it on seeing just the nice photos on Booking.com but after that in 2023 & 2024, we did not even bother to check any other hotel, we were pretty much sure to come here. It is our abode for all our future Leh visits. Such amazing has been our experience here.

GermanyThe walk to Leh market is about 20mins. I ended up liking it but it's definitely not super central. Upside: the property is pretty quiet. My room was close to reception and I ended up waking up at 6am because people were leaving and the walls are quite thin. Last thing might seem small but it would really make the life of international travellers so much easier: Please consider introducing Razorpay or some other tool that allows online payment via card for foreigners. The machine didn't accept international cards the day I left (seems to happen frequently). So I needed to ask a friend to pick me up, drive me to an ATM (which incurred additional fees for me), and come back to do the payment. This is very annoying and didn't feel like great service. In the year 2024, I think it should be the standard that hotels accept international credit cards.
Amazing rooms, super comfy, great interior, everything you needin the bathroom (incl. shampoo, body lotion - you will need it in the dry heat, towels). Hot water was available 24/7 and the shower had great water pressure. The balcony was great as well! Had dinner once and it was nice. The breakfast was also nice. Mostly Indian dishes for breakfast.
