Since we came in the monsoon season, we would see fog outside but the property has no demerits.

Exceptional and so serene and peaceful place, it is on the way to Nathula pass. The view from balcony is outstanding and they serve homemade healthy food which you would like. Our family stayed for 2 days and we really enjoyed our stay. Hospitality and attentiveness to detail is best about it.

The polite and courteous behaviour of Sherpa Sir is excellent.Its truly a homestay with tasty home food and breakfast.He provided us with the breakfast in the early morning at 5 a.m with a smiling face.His way of welcoming us and taking care of smaller needs was amazing.

I stayed at Sherpa's adobe with my parents. The stay was comfortable and I must say Mr Sherpa is a great host. The helping staff is also very polite and helping. The stay slightly far from the main city but you won't regret staying here. The city view is breathtaking and much quite in comparison to the main city. Would definitely book this stay if I visit Gantok again.

Mr. Sherpa is very helpful and friendly. Right from when u are about to reach Gangtok to until you are leaving, he ensures that you are safe and checks-in to see if you need any help. He gave suggestions about the nearby places to visit and arranges trips to north sikkim, etc. Rooms are spacious, neat and has room service is good.

Their commitment to customer satisfaction is worth emulating.we were absolutely at home far away from our real home.Cleanliness, personal attention to all our needs including food were outstanding.we will strongly recommend this place for our friends and relatives. 1. The hosts Nimaji and his wife were amazing. .sweet, kind, warm and welcoming. We got to hear them about their lives and about local sikkimese life which was wonderful. 2. The food they served was wonderful... local sikkim home food with all the warmth of a home cooked meal 3. Staff is super helpful and very sweet 4. The views from the balconies were wonderful 5. We stayed at 3 places in sikkim and while the others were impersonal hotels, this was was the highlight in terms.of hospitality. We had picked the homestay knowing that it's away from central gangtok (m.g. marg etc) so plan for local taxis to go to MG road and back The hosts helped us with all of this and ensured to go to and fro back comfortably. It felt like we had someone looking out for us while we were there :)

The property is a bit far from Gangtok town, which means a quiet atmosphere for relaxation but one would need a cab ride to get to the town for shopping / etc.

1. The hosts were kind, generous and made our stay wonderful 2. The food is delicious to the extent we looked forward to breakfast and dinner everyday 3. The room was comfortable, clean and had all reasonable facilities that one could ask for 4. The staff were excellent and were always ready to help with a smile to any small requests that we had 5. We were given a free upgrade to a balcony room and were kindly loaned some warm jackets and gloves that we were missing for our visit to NathuLa I would whole heartedly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to stay in Gangtok

Everything was perfect.

The Sherpa Abode is hands down the best place to stay in Gangtok. Nima Uncle is an incredible host—he’ll guide you through everything and treat you like family. Chunki Aunty’s cooking is out of this world; once you taste her food, nothing else will compare! The view from the balcony is absolutely amazing and definitely worth it—watching the mountains from there is a memory we’ll cherish forever. We had a truly pleasant stay and absolutely loved the homestay. Both Uncle Nima and Aunty Chunki are gems of people, and their warmth and hospitality made our visit unforgettable. Staying at Sherpa's Abode was a truly heartwarming experience. Uncle, Aunty, and the entire staff welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like part of their family. Aunty's food was hands down the best we've had during our trip—every meal was cooked with so much love and care. Their adorable dogs, Shelly and Caesar, added to the charm of our stay. They were incredibly friendly and made us feel even more at home. The warmth, love, and hospitality we experienced here are unmatched. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Sherpa's Homestay to anyone looking for a memorable and cozy retreat. Our stay was for three days Dec 25th to 27th.

Good home cooked food, both for breakfast and dinner which I choose to eat at the homestay. The hosts and his wife were very friendly, helped me to the best experience I could get from a 3 day stay in Gangtok, including a hike in the wildlife sanctuary. I looked for a quite place a way from the hassel and noice in the senter. I got a beautiful room with a beautiful viuw, just what I needed. I was traveling alone.

Liked everything there. Uncle and Aunty were awesome. Sangjami and her sister are too cute. Rooms were super clean. It was like I am staying at my home. Moreover, the location of the homestay is advantageous for those who want to visit Nathula since this homestay is situated on nathula road.

There's nothing to dislike. Only concern is for people with difficulty in climbing steps will have little issue as they will need to climb few steps to go to the homestay. Though it was not very difficult steps to climb but better to be aware of it.

Everything. ☺️ Uncle was constantly in touch with us till we reach safely to the homestay. Tradition style Welcome was very warm. He instantly arranged for the sightseeing with discount. Food cooked by aunty was with love and it was super delicious. Rooms are spacious with balcony view. The helping staff were very courteous and nice. Even after leaving the place, He called us to make sure that we have reached to our next destination safely. Overall it was an awesome experience.

We loved The Sherpas Abode. The hosts were very welcoming and always friendly, and went out of their way to help us. The room we had was large and clean, with a large balcony. The shower was hot. The food was great - your choice of local or a more Western offering. We couldn't rate this accomodation highly enough.
