Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BulgariaWe liked everything.
It was perfectly clean, in a very nice nature environment and beautifully build on a hill. The stuff had true kindness and helped in many ways. We loved to listen to the birds on our balcony and to walk in the tea plantations that start just several steps away. The food was delicious and they respected our requirements for simple natural food.

United KingdomAlthough only a relatively short distance from Munnar, it still takes the best part of an hour to drive there given the very hilly terrain. This didn’t worry us as there was plenty to see and do close by although not a choice of alternative restaurants or the facilities of a town if these are what you require. The hotel was also a fair bit more expensive than we had paid elsewhere in Kerala but I noticed that the price changed quite markedly over different dates. However the food and trips were very reasonably priced.
Very comfortable hotel, helpful and friendly staff in a quiet and beautiful hilly location adjacent to forest and tea plantations. We were very well looked after by Alan and all the staff. Really enjoyed the jeep safari, elephant viewing, guided walk through the forest with a local ranger and trip to Munnar and the sites, all arranged for us by the hotel. In addition, the food was both delicious and reasonably priced.

United KingdomThe hotel certainly lived up to its name. Surrounded by tea plantations and up in the mountains, the views were absolutely stunning. The rooms were spacious, clean and had great air conditioning. The restaurant was lovely and so were the staff. Ajith on reception was only too happy to organise excursions and taxis for us. Breakfast was buffet style and the outdoor pool was lovely.

MaltaEverything about stay here has been exceptional. The location is absolutely stunning, the room was extremely comfortable (the best and comfiest bed we had during our month in India), the food was just divine and all the staff have been super friendly and professional. I highly recommend it. We also booked a day jeep safari and the driver was awesome. He took us around places and we also Booked him the next day. It was just great. Thank you.

GermanyMy stay at The Wild Trails Resort Munnar was absolutely fantastic. The resort is set in a stunning location, surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful landscapes—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was good. The highlights of my trip were the Anakulam excursion—where I was lucky enough to spot two elephants—and the tea plantation walk. Both experiences were organized by Ajith, who was ever so helpful in making everything seamless. His knowledge and enthusiasm added so much to the experience. He also organized a cab for me. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area Munnar. A perfect blend of nature, hospitality, and adventure!

IndiaVery difficult to find something that we didn't like there. If I think hard, maybe the bathroom floor could have been a little less slippery.
Exceptional location. Phenomenal property. Far from the madding crowd. Beautifully manicured large property with a personal creek. All the comforts in great privacy. People leave you alone, yet are available to take care of every need. Incredible personal attention right from the owner ( Mr. AjithKumar, who stays in the property and oversees everything) to all the staff, communicating in person with the guests before arrival, discussing our preferred itinerary over the phone even before arrival, anticipating needs and taking care of them even before asking. They are very flexible to the guests' preferences. Food is prepared fresh, and that shows in the taste. The jeep tour through the forests and other attractions is incredibly well curated. Our driver Jineesh was too good. They are very flexible with their tour agenda, and cater it to our needs, spending the entire day on us, take us to more spots or less depending on our preference. I think the tour is grossly underpriced for the duration and the experience it renders.

United StatesA little out of the way but well worth it! Skip downtown Munnar and stay for a while - you will experience everything you were hoping for!
Beautiful property within waking distance to tea farms! Ajith is an exceptional host and he provided concierge service which surpassed any 5 star hotel. He helped organize train tickets, entry tickets to a national park, and reservations for our next stay - all of which the concierge at the Marriott could not help us with. If we had known that he was able to arrange a safari to spot wild elephants we would have stayed longer! The staff was beyond helpful and the food was home cooked perfection! Rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Leaving the property we felt as if we were saying goodbye to old friends. We will see you again soon!

United KingdomNo fridge/ freezer inside the room. Room cleaning should be done everyday as routine Should include options to buy snacks inside the property. Weather is getting hot due to climate change,so it would be better install an AC or cooler in the rooms. It would be a good thing if the management could include more activities for the guests. Rent a jeep, two wheeler or bicycle etc..
