Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Before booking any property I have a habit of going through many Google reviews on that hotel. So before booking I checked the review of this Chalet Seabuckthorn. But just after entering here we both suddenly fell from the sky. There is no display board in front of the hotel. Our Google map showed it's the hotel. Then our chauffeur, Namgiyal asked the shop owner opposite of the hotel. Then we entered the hotel, it looked like an abandoned property. Namgiyal bullied the horn as badly as I told him. Still no one came out. Then Namgiyal entered the premises to call the personnel. Two boys came out looking as if they were being punished. But a big dog came out and started sniffing. After entering the reception informed us we get electricity only from 5:30 pm to 12 pm. This is not declared on their website. Only two young boys running the hotel with the help of a chef who also visited as per need. One boy Rishov, was like a manager who didn't know the value of only one bottle of mineral water He had no menu card. This hotel has no water purifier, no bread toaster, no sandwich maker. We entered here with too much hunger and asked for a chicken sandwich. But they couldn't be supplied because they had no chicken in their storage. Then we wanted simple bread butter and masala omelette. They served bread toasted in the oven and no spot of butter was in it and cold masala omelette. Tea was too good. Mr. K. Li described this resort as" Beautiful resort set in an oasis surrounded by snow capped mountains. Each room is an individual cabin with a private bathroom, sitting area and very comfortable bed." Sorry to accept his comments. It's not a room it's just a tent. A hotel's room means an attached bath with fully decorated rooms. So the 1st half line is.normal. But the 2nd half, private sitting isn't true. The hotel supplied two chairs so winky if you sit and move its reverses. Cot also too winky.

IndiaThe restaurant service was quite slow and food was alright. Additionally, the menu was literally a zerox paper with someone having hand written the items on it, making it quite unappealing. Although the chalets were nice and we had a peaceful stay, and we didnt really have anything major to complain about, in terms of value for money, I do think the hotel is quite over priced and not sure if it's worth the money that they are charging for the stay. Our first 2 days at Nubra, we stayed at a cheaper place and if we had to compare the 2, then I dont think this has any major additions that make it worth the extra money spent.
The property was quite pretty and the room and bathroom were large and spacious and clean. Upon arriving, they had mentioned to us that hot water was available only at specific times of the day and during those times we did get hot water without any issues. Because there are frequent power cuts across the valley and there is no electricity at night, they had provided us with a few plug points that were running on inverter and we could charge our phones using those points even when there was no electricity which was quite helpful. The room itself was ventilated such that we could open a window at night and a stand fan was also provided.

IndonesiaWIFI was claimed to be available but we couldn’t use 80% of the time we were staying for 2 nights, limited warm water supply for shower (2hrs in the morning/night). It’s cold in the tent as the roof ventilation area(?) is fully opened to outside (though covered by insect mesh), so all the cold air and sounds of wild animals came right into the tent throughout the night, none of our group members managed restful sleep. Dust everywhere around due negligent management, water tasted musty when we first used the cup to drink water as the cup wasn’t washed for so long. Generally staff members tried to be helpful though couldn’t do much, but the receptionist- the look on his face when we asked about the wifi and other amenities of the property!! I’ve never been treated as rudely throughout my whole trip of India - like we are posing nuisance to him for staying there?! Overall, totally not worth the stay, especially with the premium price we paid to stay there- we splurged a bit so we could have a ‘better rest’ before heading for a long ride trip ahead, only to experience quite the opposite. We’ve been to many other Guest houses/hotels throughout the trip that could’ve been half the price but with far better hospitality.
The room actually looked like the one at booking.com, lovely flowers in the garden amidst the abandoned empty pool
