It would be nice if there was a water filter in the facility, so we don't need to buy bottles.

Beautiful building and rooms in wooden style, exceptional view and the staff was very helpful. It was also very nice to have a cafe/restaurant right there, with an amazing view as well. The room was good sized and comfortable. The chocolate banana pancake is a must.

Bathrooms are bit basic, no toilet paper. Mat outside bathroom door looked very ratty/ dirty - should be replaced. One room blanket on bed was torn and parts missing - should be replaced Rooms smelt of cigarette smoke. Would be better if rooms matched build standard of big sky cafe above. Person came to take our bags and help us at the steep access road but didn’t talk much or provide any information about what we can do in and around the hotel or manali. Bit more tourist help will be appreciated

Location in old Manāli is good (very steep access to the property - hard for older (and not so old :)) people For budget stay it is walking distance from market, eating places, bush walks. mountain view from the rooms and the big sky cafe is amazing Food quality was good and prices reasonable. Service was good. Person was helpful. Room has tea kettle to heat water. Big sky cafe atmosphere and layout is very good. Has small gym, guitar, board games, books and carton board. Has coke, cider and beer available, we loved to sit here and relax. Lady comes daily to clean the hotel public areas. Laundry was done by hotel for a charge. Kitchen has food from 11am - 12am. Good hotel. Worth returning back.

The location is far from Mall road and needs an auto/cab to go anywhere except roaming around in old manali. So the overall cost including transport might come up to more expensive stays near Mall Road. The owner was rude and disrespectful and we didn't like interacting with him. But the other staff are really sweet, so it made up for it.

The place has a great view of the mountains and Jogini waterfalls. It's located slightly away from the buzz of Mall road if you're looking for a quieter place or near Old Manali. We were especially happy with Chef Praveen. He was super helpful in giving us tips about local places to visit, arranging transport and he's an amazing chef. The owner was rude when we contacted him about our room and pricing but the staff in the hotel were very sweet and respectful.

We booked a taxi for the early morning to catch a bus to Leh with the staff and it never showed so we had to run down the hill (1.5 miles) with all our bags to catch it. Not really the hotels fault but maybe don’t get a car with them. Would be perfect if they had breakfast included for the price.

Loved that it was tucked away and quiet, bed was super comfortable.

Situated above the old town with comfortable rooms and great views across the valley. The owner and staff are friendly and hospitable and the in-house cafe offers a wide range of high quality meals made to order. Good, fast wifi is also freely available. Recommended for solo travellers and bikers. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Manali.

Our stay at timberwolves was fantastic, clean and very comfortable rooms with a beautiful panoramic view over old manali and the mountains (especially for sunrise). The property has a lot of love and quaint details. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant at the top had delicious food with the best view. The garden was a perfect place to roll out my yoga mat in the morning and the location was close to nature trails and quiet, away from the main road, but still walking distance to everything. I will definitely stay again 😊

It's calm location makes it away from the hustle and noise of Manali so to reach to the Mall road you have to book an Auto from the hotel.

The location of the property and the food in the cafe. The property is located far from the hustle of Manali and still near to everything. The view from the room is like a huge painting in front of your eyes.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The ambience of the property is serene and tastefully done, creating the perfect environment to relax and unwind. The real highlight, however, is the breathtaking mountain views. Waking up to such a beautiful natural backdrop each morning was truly special. Whether you're enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings, the views are unforgettable. Overall, a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and nature. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful escape!

A kettle in the room would have been good. Also a water dispenser on one of the floors would be good as I had to go to the kitchen to get the water.

The place was amazing to stay in. Our room had a beautiful view from the window. The property and the people are amazing. The area is also very peaceful. I spent some time doing my yogic practices in the morning and the place had an amazing vibe. They even had some dumbbells and barbells in case you want to get in a quick vacation workout. All the places of old Manali are quite accessible. I like to walk and walked around the area a lot exploring the cafes and the old Manali market.

Service is very slow. If we ask them to prepare some dish the chef will take 1-1.5 hours to prepare. I feel if they have high demand they should hire two chefs. The location is beautiful but make sure you have to walk a lot so book accordingly.

So, firstly the view is very nice from the hotel. People are nice. Affordable

This is very rare for me, but there’s nothing I disliked about Timberwolves.

I had the pleasure of staying at Timberwolves in Old Manali during the winter of 2024, and it was nothing short of magical. Having explored numerous properties across Old Manali over the years, I can confidently say that Timberwolves stands out as one of the absolute best. The hosts, Rahul and Soumyadeep, epitomize warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, their genuine care and attention made us feel right at home. Adding to the charm is Chef Praveen, whose culinary expertise transforms every meal into a masterpiece. Whether it was a hearty breakfast or a comforting dinner, the food was simply outstanding. The entire team of staff was diligent, attentive, and always ready to assist, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was flawless. The property itself is a gem. The vintage house, built in traditional Himachali style with stone and wood, exudes charm and character. Each room is carpeted, cozy, and impeccably maintained. One room, in particular, features a stunning Victorian-style fireplace and writing desk, perfect for artists, writers, or anyone looking to unwind and create in tranquil surroundings. For those seeking standard accommodations, the newer building also offers well-maintained rooms and spotless bathrooms. Heaters are available at a nominal daily charge, which is a blessing during winter nights. The views from the rooms and the café are simply breathtaking, with snow-covered peaks and the serene valley stretching out before you. Evenings by the bonfire, under a starlit sky, were a highlight of the trip. The location of Timberwolves is another major plus: it’s close to the Manu Temple, the famous (or infamous) Rocky’s Café, and the starting point of the beautiful Meadows hiking route, which is an absolute must-visit for nature lovers. Keep in mind that the property is situated on a slope, so getting there involves a bit of walking up scenic roads. However, the effort is entirely worth it.
