Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Excellent Stay Experience! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the breakfast was delicious with good variety. The AC worked perfectly, and there was 24x7 power backup which made the stay very comfortable. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the daily housekeeping was commendable. There was ample parking space, and the reception staff was very helpful and polite. Overall, a great experience – highly recommended!

This hotel is amazing and excellent. The staff were very good and friendly. The rooms looked beautiful and were very clean. The location is perfect – just 50 meters from the main road. My stay was very comfortable and pleasant. I felt really good after booking this hotel. A special thanks to the manager, Mr. Shahabuddin, who was extremely helpful, supportive, and professional. He made our stay even more enjoyable."

We were a group of five friends on a short trip to Varanasi, and Raj Palace was just what we needed. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable for a group. The staff was super helpful and even arranged local transport and sightseeing tips, which made our trip smooth and enjoyable. The location is excellent close to the ghats, but still peaceful enough to relax after a long day. The hotel had a chill vibe, perfect for catching up with friends and unwinding. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

I stayed at Raj Palace with my girlfriend during our Varanasi trip, and we both had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff was respectful and made us feel completely comfortable from the moment we arrived. The room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler – the hotel maintains top-notch security and staff was always attentive. The Trained staff was polite, helpful, and professional. Breakfast had a great variety and was served fresh. My room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The manager personally ensured everything was perfect during my stay. Parking was available and well-managed. It’s rare to find a hotel that combines comfort, hospitality, and safety so well. I will definitely return!
