United KingdomThe very main road at the front of the hotel, reverts to one way traffic at different times of the day and evening. This can and in fact does cause issues with the likes of Uber. Our room safe didn't work from day 1,despite being reported within 2 minutes of arrival. Service in the restaurant Shiraz 56 was painfully slow. Polite, smiling, but painfully slow. On arrival, my room was smelling strongly of cigarette smoke, even though this is a No Smoking hotel. With the use of the AC, this improved, gradually.
The room, the shower, the efficient lifts, courteous door staff, the breakfast and the very efficient laundry service. Breakfast was essentially self service, but with some very helpful staff to assist with coffee, tea etc.

United KingdomThe bathroom fittings looked worn out, and might need a deep clean. We were given a room with some stained bedsheets, but this was replaced as soon as we told them to. My expectations were high as I had visited the hotel 5 years ago when it was brand new, hence was a tad disappointed to fit some worn out aspects of the hotel.
The location was ideal and close to park street, 15 mins walk. The junction is popular and hence know by taxi drivers. There is also a nearby bus stop. The staff were extremely helpful and helped us with last minute changes and requests. Special thanks to the Manager, who sorted an issue with the payment in the end. The breakfast was good, and had a good mix of hot and cold food with drinks. The security personnel were helpful in booking local taxis.

United StatesRooms have not been maintained. I have stayed here multiple times since 2012 because the location is convenient for my purpose. It was nice when it was new and called Tulip Inn. Since then it has changed hands multiple times and rooms and facilities have not been kept up. The breakfast buffet ran out of most items by the time we got there 30 mins before closing and on all 4 days. Finally the woman at the front desk who checked us in and out is not welcoming. She just enforces policy and lacks customer service. Not just with us but all guests. She told us there will be extra charges for our 12 yr old son. I agreed even though I clearly made the booking for 2 adults and 1 child through booking.com. Next time I will stay somewhere else.
Housekeeping and other staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was immediately available upon arrival.
