Entrence was little small

Had clean washrooms. Comfy bed and clean common spaces. Were provided with a kitchen where other guests from hostel too were cooking meals. Happy place for people looking for good times

This is The best hostel in Udaipur.Tej ,vikash and sumer are the perfect hosts -lots of fun ,music and chilling around on the lovely rooftop as well as the common area . The common kitchen is all one wants as an avid traveller . Bonus there's free Chai waiting for you always ;)

I had a really good experience at this property. The beds are comfortable and ensure a restful stay, and what stood out the most for me was the cleanliness and hygiene of the toilets – which is always a big plus. But beyond the facilities, what truly makes this place special are the people behind it – Tej, Vikas, and Sumer. They are warm, welcoming, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Great property, managed by even greater people! One of the best parts about this place is the dedicated kitchen for visitors – open to use anytime. It’s such a thoughtful step by Tej, Vikas, and Sumer, and honestly a great move in the hostel industry. It gives you a sense of comfort and freedom that makes the stay even more homely.

I stayed at Turtle Hostel in Udaipur for 2 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly nice, warm-hearted, and always ready to help. The rooms are clean and hygienic, making the stay very comfortable. The location is perfect — just a short walk from City Palace, Pichola Lake, and Gangaur Ghat. The rooftop offers a beautiful view of Pichola Lake, perfect for relaxing evenings. Truly, it’s the best hostel for meeting good-hearted people and enjoying the charm of Udaipur.

I stayed at Turtle Hostel while traveling solo, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of my trip. I wasn’t expecting much—just a clean bed and maybe a good night’s sleep—but this place gave me so much more. Right from check-in, the vibe was calm, warm, and welcoming. The staff were incredibly kind, easy to talk to, and genuinely seemed to care. They were always around if you had a question or just wanted a quick chat, and they had great tips for exploring the area like a local. The hostel itself was super clean and cozy. The dorms had everything I needed: comfy beds, privacy curtains, charging outlets, and lockers. The bathrooms and showers were well-maintained, and there was never a line, even during busy hours. What I really loved, though, was the atmosphere. It wasn’t one of those wild, party hostels—but it wasn’t dead quiet either. It struck a really nice balance. People hung out in the common area, cooked meals, and shared travel stories. I met some great people just by sitting around with a cup of tea in the evening. We even ended up exploring parts of the city together, which I hadn’t planned on but really appreciated. The location was also great—close enough to the main spots, but tucked away enough to feel peaceful. I could walk pretty much everywhere, and even when I got back late, I felt totally safe. As a solo traveler, it can be hit or miss with hostels. Turtle Hostel felt like a hit. Not just because it was clean and well-run (which it absolutely was), but because it had that rare kind of warmth that makes you feel like you’re not alone, even when you are. Would absolutely stay again—and would recommend it to anyone looking for a chill, comfortable, and friendly place to land.

Breakfast-some indian food options would be nice to have.

Turtle Hostel Udaipur is a hidden gem. For backpackers. Great social environment, social and kind staff, delicious breakfast with really nice view. Common area is full of games and books. Refrigerator where I could keep my meds and fruits. Rooftop is chill and relaxing with cozy interior. Clean washrooms and beds.
