I feel the owner is very passionate and completely involved in the business. Overall, the approach is very professional, kind and helpful. She has a good connection with local shops, drivers which is quite helpful. The house is well decorated and has a great aesthetic sense. I had to catch a red eye flat and she arranged taxi on short notice. What was very kind was she cooks breakfast herself which seems very special and great Indian tea.

There is nothing bad. I can recommend it.

Extremely clean and amazing interior for the property, everything around was eco friendly, and just perfect for our stay amazing. On the other hand, extremely helpful and friendly host, she even guided us to plan our further trip from guiding us to find hotels to recommending us restaurants to places to visit. Thank you for everything and making our stay amazing. It’s highly recommended

Staying at Utopia was truly a soul-refreshing experience. The vibe of the place is simply beautiful—peaceful, warm, and full of positive energy. The boho-style decor adds such a charming and cozy touch, making it feel like a little sanctuary tucked away in Varkala. Our host, Evana, was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was the amazing breakfast she prepared every morning—healthy, wholesome, and made with so much love. It was the perfect way to start the day. I’m so grateful to have found this gem of a place. Utopia truly lives up to its name, and I would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful and soulful stay in Varkala.

This property situated in a residential area away from the touristy place. Location is peaceful with beautiful view to the paddy field from the balcony. Loved the interiors and maintained really well. Special thanks to the host Ivana for treating us so well. She was very friendly

It would be nice if they add some complimentary drinks in the room like juice/ tea/coffee.

Such a lovely place to stay. The location isn't as close to the beach as other places, but that doesn't matter if you have some form of transport plus it's away from the crowds. It's a really peaceful place with a fantastic view of the rice paddies. The rooms are decorated beautifully, kept clean and comfortable. Highly recommended if you're looking for some me time or something away from the crowds.I also enjoyed the breakfasts in the morning sitting out in the garden with the view. Ivana and Angie do a fantastic job at hosting and making sure your stay is comfortable - they went above and beyond with helping me deal with an injured foot after a surfing accident, and I'm so grateful that I was staying at Utopia even with the injury - I had a lovely time staying at Utopia, and will likely stay again if I'm back in Varkala.

Really difficult to find things I didn't like about the place. just some things to be aware of you have a car - the roads are narrow and there's limited parking space at Utopia, so just make sure you call ahead to make sure arrangements can be made for parking.

A beautiful stay with awesome hosts. Such a pleasant place to spend your time in Varkala. It's picturesque, with super healthy and tasty breakfast options. Perfect blend of hospitality, comfort and serenity. Great location if you are not looking to stay right near a beach. Varkala and Kappil beach are around 3 km. But if you have your own vehicle, then, I highly recommend this place.

Loved everything about this place. Location could be one thing that I can think of, as I relied on uber

Excellent place for a quick gateway from city life. Calm and pleasant stay. This is run by a mother daughter duo and they are excellent hosts Neat clean and gives a Balinese vibe with all the rice fields and interior design. I'd say a perfect 10

Amazing decor, service. The best property we stayed in in India. Definitely worth staying. The hospitality was incredible also, we had washing and the team were so helpful in sorting this for us as well as recommending amazing yoga, restaurants, surf, and other recommendations during our stay. Will definitely be back thank you!!

Wifi was slow, and water cut out sometimes

We stayed for 3 nights at Utopia. Ivana and her daughter are absolutely delightful. The house is very clean and decorated with taste. The ambiance is very peaceful overlooking the rice fields (5mm tuk-tuk ride from the cliff) We highly recommend staying at Utopia if you are looking for a peaceful gateway with a beautiful yoga Shala for morning practice.
