Our stay at Varkala Palace was beautiful right from the moment we landed in Varkala. The property is perfectly located , just a short walk from the helipad area and right along the beachfront, surrounded by sea-facing restaurants and a refreshing coastal vibe. Check-in was smooth, but initially, we were offered an older room on the property. Since it was the rainy season, we faced a few issues with insects and even spotted some roaches inside. As I was traveling with my mom, who is quite scared of insects, I immediately reported the issue to the reception late at night. To my surprise, the staff was very prompt and understanding. They escalated the matter to their superior and quickly shifted us to a much cleaner and better-located room, all without any delay. I truly appreciated their quick response and courteous service. The property offers a peaceful blend of nature and comfort, and the prime location makes it even more special. Highly recommended for those looking to experience Varkala’s beauty with good hospitality.

Rooms are not sound proof, you can hear talks of the next room including snoring! Some rats were running in between the wooden ceiling creating disturbance during sleep!!

Facility is quite essential and you need a bit of spirit od adaptaion. But I guess it is a good compromise with price.

Varkala Marine Palace has a really great location. You walk through the garden and here you are :) You don't need to climb up and down from the cliff. Our room was very large and had the biggest bed I have ever seen :-) Good breakfast was include in the price. Also the reception stuff was helpful to arrange train tickets for us.

The lock pn the door was a bit difficult to use.

Location was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpfful. The room was clean and all the facilities functioned well. The restaurant, despite mixed reviews on the web, turned out to be excellent. The food was was really tastey, the service was good and the view from the restaurant was lovely.

It was very pleasant and we can enjoy the nature sound while we are having breakfast,lunch or dinner the environment is very good, I couldn't enjoy the sea view from my room but I have enjoyed the directly since it's nearly 50m from my room to the sea, ,I would prefer this for each and every one but it's will be wonderful for couple's

There was absolutely nothing which I didn't like.

The vibe was much more than expected. The place was much more than expected. This is the exceptional instance where the reality was beyond the pictures of the place.

My only issue with the hotel was that the showers didn't have any kind of barriers such as shower curtains so the entire bathroom floor got wet whenever someone showered

The staff in the hotel restaurant were lovely and the views were beautiful and were quick to respond to the toilet blockage.

The restaurant was being renovated and the beach in front being inaccessible due to rough seas.

Th location was great. The room design, balcony was excellent for peacefully sitting and enjoying the rains. Lovely and dense greenery and being well maintained

The room size and spaciousness. The room was very close to beach and the view is great. We enjoyed the stay . For parking, we have to take another route to the hotel, which i din't find very promising, else the stay was absolutely great . The room seems to be a bit old, but is well maintained. So kudos!!!

Overpriced

The location, ambience of the dining and setting of the bedroom, specially open to sky bath was awesome.
