ThailandBeddings are dirty, that’s disgusting... They don’t change it after every guest. The dust is everywhere in room and on territory. It seems that they don’t clean territory at all. Hotel is close to road, very noisy. So you need to use ear plugs for sleeping.
Nice territory with trees and rabbits. Nice staff 24 hours reception. Hot water (but not easy to understand how is the heater working). Location is close to Ghats. Breakfast was tasty, but very poor and spicy.

ThailandRoom and hotel was not clean enough. They change only towels, but not bedsheets and bedding. So maybe 10 people were sleeping at these bedsheets and blankets before you. It was dirty and wet. A lot of dust everywhere in room and hotel.
Location was good, and almost quiet for Varanasi (depending on room location). We asked for quiet room, it was without windows, but almost quiet. Friendly staff, very helpful even about taxi, excursions etc. And normal prices for this. Beautiful rabbits walking in territory. 24 hrs front desk is really great.

IndiaBathroom had no hangar to hang clothes. Bedsheets needed to be more clean. Electric kettle could have been better. Lighting to dress up specially near the mirror is needed. There should be provision for iron board and iron when asked for. Can't give nice clothes outside for ironing. This is a must.
Breakfast limited. Staff was well behaved and helpful. Checking in and out pretty smooth. Location very convenient for us.

GermanyThe rooms need an upgrade, looks like 2 decades old. A very noisy and old-style AC, switch points inadequate or not working, bathrooms without a shower curtain, the room was low on comfort and lighting was like I entered a 90s home. There was a renovated block but we weren't accommodated in it, hence cannot say much about that. The manager was pushy to take some trips organised by his friend.
Breakfast was simple, but freshly prepared bread, Jalebis and the ginger tea was good. The location was excellent, near Assi Ghat. The staff was very friendly and kind.

Good clean rooms. Linen was clean and all immediate toiletries etc were available in the toilets. Proximity to Assu Ghar was just 5-7 minutes walk. Staff were good and courteous. Proximity to Assi Ghat a good positive.

United StatesThe late night staff does not speak any English. I had a problem with my air conditioning one night and I asked for it to be fixed a the the night manager, but this never happened. So one of my nights was miserable. It was an easy fix and I wish I would have known how to do it. Always ask how to turn on A/C if it happens to stop working all of a sudden! Also, NOISY! But all of Varanasi is noisy. Can't avoid the honking horns probably anywhere.
The staff was very nice and the room and bed are HUGE. The breakfast was nice, odd from a Western perspective, but I got used to it. Tried a lot of new things because of the strange choices. Was happy that there was a security guard. Felt safe.

United StatesStaff did not replenish water nor toilet paper unless I asked. This was very annoying given the price we paid. I understand it is a priviledge to receive toilet paper in india but we paid over $120 a night for our room with 2 people and Westerners need to be supplied with ample drinking water for that price.
Staff were helful in terms of setting up taxi/activities. Also the room was clean and there were clean sheets.

IndiaThe property is great, just that some of the bathroom fixtures {shower, etc.} need an upgrade. They also need some more staff I feel, to maintain such a large property {those who are dusting, cleaning on regular basis}.
Vijaigarh is surprisingly a property of the Maharaja of Vijaigarh, so has all the royal elements and grandeur to it. The daughter-in-law of the family runs the property and greets you in person very warmly. There is a Great Dane and a Labrador that freely roam around inside the campus, very friendly. The staff greet you and treat you as if you are yourself some royal family member :) Assi Ghat takes 5 min to walk down, so the location is super great!

The staf esp Aashish and Chandreshekhar were polite and took care of extra requests of children. The duty manager was kind enough to change the room when he was told that AC wasn't working. Rooms were spacious and for that I feel it was value for money. The arrangement of boat ride by them was also very good.
