United Arab EmiratesOur stay was an absolute delight, mostly because the staff acted like we were long-lost relatives instead of just another check-in. They were so incredibly pleasant and accommodating. The room itself was a fluffy nd comfortable. . And the food—oh, the food was a whole other experience. It was so delicious that my "I'll just have a little" plan went right out the window. Seriously, this place is worth it just for the food alone; the incredible staff and comfy room are just a bonus.

IndiaThe hotel in Thiruvananthapuram feels not too different from anywhere else. Being someone who lived in the city and returning to it 2 decades later, the hotel experience seemed very generic. Of course the people and food options gave it the local flavour, but the design, look, feel and experiences were mundanely global. (wonder if it's a reason to complain). The hotel is located in a by-lane, off the main roads and has nothing really to offer - sights, shopping, street food, etc - within casual walking distance.
Vivanta ticks all the boxes of a good premium hotel - stylish, efficient, reasonably indulgent and hospitable. The hotel is a safe bet for anyone unfamiliar with the place since it is located in the central cultural zone of the city and will give you the familiarity and predictability of the Taj hotel group. Rooms are stylish, comfortable and well equipped. Ticks all the boxes here too. Breakfast spread was really good. I'd have loved to try more dishes since there were enough options across all cuisines - local dishes, south indian, north indian, continent, healthy and snacky in both veg and non veg.

Mohan, who manages the coffee station, was especially outstanding—friendly, warm, and always making sure our cups were full. The restaurant manager also stood out with his constant presence, checking on guests and ensuring everyone felt welcome and well looked after. Truly a delightful start to the day!
