Not enough on offer at breakfast

Location was ok. Very near to the supermarket. Room was basic.

We had expected a fully equipped shared kitchen. But only a toaster was available. There was no microwave, no stove. We couldn't cook as originally planned. The supermarket closed at 7pm. Hence we had to spend extra at the nearby restaurants.

Nice area to stop over night while driving the ring road. A couple great casual fish and chip places hit the spot after a long day. Room was spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable. Large bathroom. The cereal/milk/juice/coffee was a treat and not offered at most places we stayed. Large fridge in the kitchen where guests labeled small items with their name if they choose. Parking was full when we arrived so we parked across the street. Not sure if that was allowed but the car was still there in the morning..I thought this place was way too expensive when we booked, however now having almost completed the whole ring road, you get what you pay for.

No instructions where to park if lot was full.

It is very nice guesthouse in the old pharmacy. It is very nice with welcoming owners. We had it booked only for two people, because bigger room wasn’t available. When we asked the owners, if it is possible to stay here in three and they have prepared for us one more bed, that was perfect. It was really clean with amazing well equipped kitchen.

The location was fantastic. The facilities seemed very clean. The Continental breakfast was quite nice with a very good coffee machine.

The pillow was so old I was afraid to sleep on it. We each received 1 very small, thin, extremely worn bath towel. No hand towel to be found. For almost $400 USD they can do better with the linens.

Clean, with private bath. Tasty breakfast treats with many choices of drinks. A balcony that one can walk out to see nice views in the distance and get fresh air. Staffs are super nice.

Our room doesn’t have good ventilation. After one night, there’s water condensation on window glasses.

The room was tidy, and the bed was comfy. Breakfast surpassed our expectations and was more than enough for our needs. The location is very convenient. We could walk to restaurants easily.

The rooms are pretty small with very limited space for luggage. Although the other guests were quiet, even turning a lock or opening and closing a door (which happened frequently) was easily heard in our room.

This charming guesthouse is so comfortable and clean. It's got nice bathrooms, comfy beds and linens, and the eating area/kitchen is well equipped. The breakfast is great, with many options! It's perfectly situated in the tiny town of Höfn, with stellar glacier views close by. The staff is friendly and gave us a warm greeting. We've been here before and it was great to be back... we'll be back again!

Honestly, I can't think of anything! Our stay was really wonderful.

Excellent location. 2 minutes from the lake.

Location was excellent...more of a hotel than a guesthouse.

Expensive. Never saw or interacted with staff...tried to confirm a late check in and checkout but no one ever responded...

Easy check in without staff presence. The place was quiet. The location was an easy walk to dinner. Parking was available.

No views. Room is tight and nowhere to put anything in the bathroom while you shower and get ready.

Clean room. There was a lobster festival the night we stayed and the guesthouse was right across from the festival so we got to experience it with the locals. We stayed late June so breakfast wasn't offered yet, but bring groceries as there is a full clean kitchen you can use.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of Höfn, with easy access to restaurants, the harbor, and local attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire property was clean and well maintained.

As an American traveler, I’m used to a certain level of comfort, and while I did have a private bathroom, other aspects like room size and overall amenities were more modest than what I’m used to. That said, this is typical for the region. If you expect luxury or lots of personal space, reset your expectations and embrace the experience. It’s part of the charm of traveling in this part of the world.

Breakfast buffet is perfect. The view from the window of the room is great.

Breakfast was coffee, tea, milk, cereal and some yogurt. It was enough for a breakfast. We did not leave hungry. I really liked the biscuits.

Include an appliance to push the water from the shower into the drain. The toilet area got all wet because the water didn't right away
