Coffee machine, bathroom with a conditioner and a super comfortable bed

The bedroom window curtains were sheer instead of solid so compromised the privacy a little but really that’s me nitpicking

It was such a cool, comfortable and curated guesthouse. Loved the vibe and the amenities. A great place to stay.

The house was beautifully furnished and decorated. We had plenty of room for all of us and the host even came over to welcome us and answer questions. Also - there were horses in a pasture just next door, which was a real bonus for us animal lovers.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

The studio apartment has everything one could need, including a comfortable sofa if you want to relax a bit. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was very clean and well maintained. Elin was a great host and always answered very quickly. She even had a little booklet with lots of useful information about the area and some lesser known sights. I would definitely recommend to stay here for a few days if you want to explore the southeast as the studio is close to a lot of sights.

This place absolutely exceeded my expectations. It's the most thoughtfully and carefully designed place I've stayed in during my many travels. The mattresses are the best I've slept on. The attention to detail and design is impeccable, so many useful kitchen tools, plus little gems of wonder, like the awesome coffee machine, cute world map or the super extensive guide book. Thank you so much, i hope to return later this year while visiting Vestrahorn.

We had an amazing apartment style room to ourselves. The beds were very comfortable and it was very easy to park. The kitchen had everything we might need. We appreciated that the freezer came with ice in it. Everything was very clean and we had a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Just be careful in the bathroom as it was very slippery

We loved our stay here. Haukaberg House really felt like a home from home compared to everywhere else we stayed in Iceland. We were travelling with a 9 month old and arrived to find some lovely little extras which were really handy- highchair, changing mat and towel. The kitchen facilities were great and the house felt really cosy. We ate in Hofn one night based on the recommendations given which was really tasty. Location is just outside of Hofn but there are beautiful views from the accommodation.

Room was really hot at night and we couldn't work out how to switch it down- the only downside!
