A nice getaway outside of the hustle and bustle of town. Unfortunately, we had a car accident in town before arriving at the property, delaying our arrival and putting us in a bit of a unhappy mood. So we were not able to fully enjoy or take advantage of the property before leaving the next day. However, it was nice to have the unit ready and clean for us upon arrival, with no fuss getting in or out, and a quiet area to try to calm our nerves.

Because of the location it was very quiet yet still convenient to many places we wanted to see.

The water in the shower was ok but never got hot, only kind of like warm. Also, the microwave was very dirty. Everything thing else was good.

The listing indicated that it had a sofa bed. It had a sofa rather than a sofa bed. A sofa bed was an important feature for me when I chose the property. In addition, the bedroom door would not latch and the hair dryer settings selector was broken.

A small wooden cabin in a cozy green environment, with basic equipment. Self check-in and check-out. Free parking available next to the cabin. Small covered terrace and an outdoor grill.

During our 12-day trip around Iceland, this was unfortunately the only place where we had the unpleasant experience of encountering black flies. By morning, everyone was bitten from head to toe by the little pests :-( A mosquito net or some kind of insect repellent would be very useful. Even a prior warning suggesting that guests bring repellent would help — otherwise they might end up itching for a week :-( The kitchen utensils are incomplete; for example, there was only one small saucepan. Glasses, plates, and pots also need to be expanded to ensure there is at least one of each for four people.

The note threatening one euro per minute beyond the checkout time is unnecessary and unpleasant.

Ancient outdated appliances, microwave did not work at all (outdated old one), this was a huge inconvenience. No washing machine.

Nice location; peaceful with a nice view

There was fish odor coming from the sink especially when the sink was in use. The dishwashing brush also smelt like a fish.

Lovely place to stay in Iceland. Peaceful surroundings make you feel very relaxed.

It was a nice location. Nice amenities. Quiet and peaceful but still not far from town. Good size cottage with good amenities.

The beds were a bit hard.
