Charming house with kind owners. Very clean. Warm and comfortable beds. Very quiet surroundings. There is a creek nearby that one can take a small walk around the area. Just lovely!

Friendly hosts

The location is absolutely stunning; peaceful, pristine, and the perfect place to relax. The owners were friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our room was clean, cozy, and we really appreciated the quiet surroundings. A special thank you to the female owner, who was extremely kind and accommodating. She went out of her way to help us with the food we brought, even though the guesthouse didn’t have a kitchen. We’re very grateful for her generosity and hospitality.

Although the listed checkout time was 10:00 AM, we were pressured to leave around 9:00 AM. We rushed as the male owner knocked on both the bedroom and bathroom door and requested us to leave soon, so we ended up leaving by 9:15. Had we known the actual expected checkout time was earlier, we would have definitely left early. Other than that, the owners were overall kind and friendly, and the house was gorgeous.

The shower upstairs wasn’t working.

Very welcoming hosts and beautiful house. We really liked how well the room was equiped with shelves and lighting. One can trully feel that the guests comfort was in mind by the owners. Room was clean and great thing that it had a sink. Beds were comfy, there were no noises coming from the outside.

The microwave to warm up some food would be very useful. The shower upstairs were the rooms are was not working, so the only one downstairs was available. However, we did not run into other guests so it was fine. Walls are thin, so if not whispering the other quests were hearable.

The house itself is wery beautiful. Location is amaizing. Pure clear beautiful nature around. The wiev from the balkony was literally breathtaking, I could look at it forever. However, some circumstances of our staying were frustrating.

On the day of our arrival there was heavy rain and the road conditions were so bad, we realized that we were unable to reach the place by 9:00 PM. However, usually it is normal to allow people to arrive later, or provide self-check-in if needed. Most of tourists in Iceland do a road trip around all the island and the road and the weather can be unpredictable. Despite of I feel guilty for being late for an hour after check-in time, I want to give an honest review. On booking.com it is stated that the place has a dining area but no kitchen. I presumed that it means the presence of a kettle, microwave, maybe a toaster, a table and a minimum of utilities so that you could make simple sandwiches and eat them, because there is no cafe or supermarket nearby. If not, then what is the dining area for? We were on the road for more than 4 hours and were starving. As it turned out, the place only has a shelf with a kettle, coffee maker and cups, tea and coffee. It's not allowed to make or eat food in the house. Being on the road and realizing that we were late, I warned the host about our arrival time and asked if there was a place where we could make sandwiches and have a snack. This unexpectedly irritated the host so much that she told me (because I was careless and absent-minded about house rules!) to find another place to stay, she is not going to host us anymore! Let me remind you, it was already late evening, it was pouring rain and we were in the middle of nowhere! It was so unexpectedly cruel and unfair! (FYI, the money had already been taken) Finally, I almost begged her to let us in! After arrival, we discovered everywhere a lot of scary rules about what not to do in the house. The whole time we were there, because of all the oppressive atmosphere around and how they communicated before I really felt afraid that something bad would happen and was happy to check out. Maybe it was only my impression, but that's for what reviews are made, so be informed.

Very nice family home. We were welcomed and introduced to facilities. We had nice balcony with amazing views and supper comfortable bed.

They stayed up late for us to check-in. Room was great and plenty of room with a sink and a balcony. Tea and coffee available.
